Black Celebrity Wedding: Niecy Nash is married now!

Niecy Nash knows exactly what she wants on her wedding day – and it has nothing to do with the dress, the location or the food.

As any bride-to-be can attest, the weeks leading up to the wedding day are full of excitement and anticipation. For TV personality Niecy Nash, preparing for her May 28 nuptials has been a bit overwhelming, but nonetheless, she can’t wait to marry her fiance, Jay Tucker, she told “Life & Style Magazine.

“Last-minute decisions about the menu and what she will wear are still on Niecy’s to-do list. “Decisions, decisions!” Niecy told “Life & Style.” “Should I feed our guests chicken or fish? Should I wear a veil or should I not? I just don’t know!”

Although the planning has been hectic, Niecy knows that it will all be worth it when she marries her prince. “I want to be married to Jay more than anything,” said Niecy. “I want to be his wife — yesterday!”

The TLC network will air a two-hour special documenting her  wedding to Jay Tucker, an electrical engineer, as well as the steps leading up to their wedding day, including finding a dress and the perfect venue.

Joining her will be a wedding party featuring bridesmaids Sherri Shepherd from The View, The Game's Wendy Raquel Robinson, and actress Sheryl Lee Ralph as the matron of honor.

The Bridal Shower

The theme of the Niecy's bridal shower was, “Big Hats and Fabulous Pumps: A GLAMTASTIC Bridal Shower.”The color theme was a fabulous red and purple, one of my favorite color combos.

Shoes by Artyce Custom Footwear were on display for bridal shower guests. I bet people kept trying to buy them off the table!

The shower decor is simple, but totally glamourous and chic. The luxe ceiling tratment and the silky, sexy textures make this outdoor room come alive.

Kimberly Locke and Eva Pigford strut their stuff.

In keeping with the Glamouous theme there was of course a fashion show! Guests modeled their best and won "Best Hat". "Best Dressed" and more.

They look really good together.

The groom-to-be also had compliments to dish about his future wife. "She's really warm and genuine and funny and beautiful and all those things," Tucker said. "I've gotten a preview of that dating her and being engaged to her, so I'm looking forward to that for about 45 years."

Niecy had a Spa party for all her bridesmaids.

The Ceremony (Sneak Peek!)

Guests had to sign a release saying they would not share photos from this wedding before it airs on TLC on June 4th. I hope all you guys tune in for all the details of this wedding. You know the reception is gonna be EPIC! She had Macaroni and cheese grill cheese sandwiches... She's black and she's proud.

Niecy walked down the aisle at a sunny outdoor ceremony at the super luxe Church Estate Vineyards in Malibu Saturday afternoon. The 8,000 square foot château is surrounded by lush gardens and vineyards planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.


Niecy is wearing a beautiful ribbon headband made of flowers and lace in her hair.

Niecy had ten bridesmaids, all dressed in one-shoulder flowing lavender gowns or strapless purple gowns, while her young flower girl wore a white dress with a purple sash.

She had ten Groomsmen sexy black Tuxedos with lavender Boutonnières. What a big wedding party. There were 200 guessts including several celebrities.

She also rocked custom Swarovski crystal wedding shoes by Glam Luxe.  Sheryl Lee Ralph served as matron of honor.  And Kita of "The T.O. Show" was also a bridesmaid.  And Brandy was one of the fab singers who serenaded the bride. Other notable guests were Eva Marcille in a sexy tux and "The Talk's" Holly Robinson-Peete.
