I'm doing ivory linens. More than likely I'll have a sheer gold overlay like this:

Ideas for centerpieces so far: Some centerpieces will have red roses, ivory candles and mirrors. Others will have red votives and gold tealights in holders of different heights on a mirror with scattered red rose petals. We're still working on ideas.

I have begun putting the ribbon trim on the aisle runner but I see that'll take a little longer then I anticipated. I will begin on the BM jewelry this weekend. I also ordered personalized pens to sign the guestbook, thank you magnets, and personalized "Just Married" window clings and car magnets all from Vistaprint. How about 2 pens, 100 magnets, 2 clings, and 1 car magnet were all under $20! All the items were free I just had to pay for shipping. I will post pictures as soon as everything is completed and arrives.
The jewelery came out really cute. I gave Ivy the crown for being our Bargain Queen and I think you are now officially our DIY Queen. How does the crown feel girl?

peaknn my apologies for the late reply. I missed this question! I used Publisher. Under page setup I set the page to 28" x 28" (I think). The monogram printed out on 12 sheets of paper and I taped them together. You can also have the monogram enlarged and printed at Kinkos or other similar places. HTH!

You need to start some type of webite with all your DIY wedding projects and how to make them. They are receiving a toiletry bag, an umbrella, a manicure set in a personalized pouch, pedicure set, a mini sewing kit in a pouch, and their jewelry which I handmade of course! I'll also add Aleve or Advil, a couple tampons and pantiliners, bobby pins, safety pins, travel sized toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, and Kleenex. I think that's good for a bride on a budget with a wedding party that hasn't really helped with anything! LOL!
And how did I forget to mention: WE GOT OUR MARRIAGE LICENSE! That's the check I was waiting to complete!
Here's what I have left to do (I think):
1. DRAG FH & GM TO GET THEIR ATTIRE
2. buy my jewelry and headpiece
3. print and assemble programs
4. print and affix hershey bar, lifesaver, and water bottle labels
5. buy remaining supplies for reception tables
6. buy supplies for alter decor
7. finish affixing ribbon trim to aisle runner and iron
8. buy candy for candy buffet
9. order flowers for bouquets and centerpieces (to arrive Tuesday before wedding)
10. Make hair and spa appointments
I think that's it! My bridal shower is next weekend. It's themed "Crystal and the City." Can't wait! I have to find an outfit for that as well.
