Re: For SweetP: Tangerine and Fuschia

You are very welcome. As far as the bling,

Your attire: A beautiful neckalace with lots of stones and/or a simple bracelet with lots of blink can attract the eye.
If you go this route, definitely do a simple, elegant tiara as not too look like a string of lights. My vote is for the blinging neckalace! Try Claires or see if you can get one for your "Something borrowed"

Bridal Party:

Simple pieces of blinging jewelry for the neck-people just don't pay much attention to arms much-is a beautiful touch. If the dresses are tea length-perfect for your color scheme-you can find a cute shoe with stones on it for the girls

Flowers: You can also add jewels to the bouquet.

That tangerine and fushia is beautiful. I would never thought of using the two colors together. But with the two colors together, you can create your tropical fantasy. Simply beautiful!

Hello and welcome. Chocolate and pink are also my colors. You can always go to yahoo or google and search for chocolate pink wedding and you should pull up several forums dedicated to those event colors. Now, not all of those forums will give you nice, classy ideas, but it can't hurt to look. As for me, I'm using chocolate real fabric table cloths, mahogany chiavari chairs with the dark brown cushion, tall glass vase centerpieces with the pink cherry blossoms, pink crape mrytle plants around the room, chocolate and pink real fabric napkins (folded and sitting on top of the clear charger plates), pink and cholate tealight favors wrapped in 4 pieces of pink tool each, pink rose weeding cameras, chocolate and pink gift boxes wrapped with pink and chocolate ribbon and filled with perconalized tea bag favors, a custom designed pink monogram aisle runner lined in chocolate, pink rose petals down the aisle, a chuppah dressed in pink chiffon fabric, pink BM dresses, chocolate groomsmen suits and shoes with pink shirt, tie, and vest, and the list goes on and on. I'm definitely having an overhaul of pink and chocolate!!!

If you want to hear more of what I'm doing, just e-mail me or send me a note. After all, this is the tangerine and fuschia forum. lol. And those colors are definitely going to make a lasting impression too.

Re: For SweetP: Tangerine and Fuschia

Those were the colors for our reception. For our wedding ceremony, our colors were watermelon and coral. Some of my favorite outfits and shoes are a mixture of these two colors...and they are HOT, HOT, HOT! They especially POP in a tropical setting. So choosing these for our ocean view sunset wedding in St. Thomas, VI was a no brainer. More BTW, the men LOVED their suits with light coral shirts and ties. They will definitely be wearing those ensembles again.

Re: For SweetP: Tangerine and Fuschia

And they thought I was crazy...Hey ladies! I've been on the board a few times. You gals are great and your adive is wonderful. I got married on June 21st and my colors were also fuschia and orange! I promise you, people thought I was nuts for picking those colors! I even got some..."you mean dunkin donuts colors?" Well it turned out to be a beautiful combination.I was a VERY low key bride and had little to nothing to do with the details. I just wanted to have a memorable fun day. All I told my planning team (THANK GOD FOR THEM) was that I wanted a daytime, bright, wedding with pink and orange as theme colors and gerbera daises (my favorite flower) Oh...and honey and tea as favors. (they came out great...i'll post a pic of them soon) Anyhoo...I have posted one of our aspiring photographer friends websites. Enjoy!

SweetP, not trying to put pressure on you, but what have you accomplished so far. Judging by your wedding date, you should've already done the following in order to remain on schedule. I'd like you to be relaxed and as stress free as possible in order to plan your extremely special day. In order to help you out sister, you should've had a check mark next to the following and if you don't, well sister, come on, get on the ball. We'll help with whatever advice you need. Happy planning!!!

As you're on the 10th month of planning, these items should've already be completed:

Set the wedding date ~ take into accounts holidays, school and honeymoon plans

Determine the religion the service will be performed in.

Choose time of wedding

Choose desired location for wedding ceremony

Choose desired location for Reception

Determine a color scheme for the wedding/reception

Decide on whether or not to go with traditional wedding vows or to
write your own vows to each other.

Work out a basic budget

Research reception venues

Determine the minimum and maximum number of guests, including your wedding party.

Look through magazines, internet, bridal salons, and start thinking about your wedding gown and those of your attendants.

Set up appointments, and review portfolios of all vendors, tapes and recordings.

Order or make Save-the-date cards

Determine theme of your wedding

Meet with caterers

Reserve DJ for Ceremony and Reception

Determine and make musical selections for both ceremony and reception.

Book Wedding videographer and photographer ~ give deposit to both.

Make a list of must-have photos, such as ceremony and reception.

Research and interview florists

Select and reserve ceremony venue and schedule counseling and rehearsal time.

Choose reception venue ~ negotiate contract ~ leave a deposit.

Secure parking and /or transportation for your guests at the reception location

Visit local bridal stores to browse their selection of gowns for yourself and your entire party.

Carefully choose your wedding party members and formally ask them to participate in your celebration.

Meet with the officiant to discuss the ceremony

Determine your honeymoon budget

Mail save-the-date cards.

Order or make your
