Hello ladies, need your advice. As you know, I'm undertaking about 30 DIY projects for our wedding, one of which is our invitation cards. I was just cruising e-bay and found a floral stamp. I've been looking for one everywhere and just couldn't put my hands on exactly the look that's been buzzing around my head. Then I went on e-bay and suddenly, there it was. So what do you guys think? I plan on having it stamped on the invitation card

Very nice...but will it have some color in it are will it be just like that?
I will dip it in Gold paint. What do you think?
Sounds nice. How big will image be? You could stamp the envelops also. Just make sure you have lots of extras in case the image doesn't stamp as crisp as you like. I DIY'd my bridal shower invites using rubberstamps and silver leaf and I went through LOTS of paper. It was my first time trying rubber stamping and my hand wasn't steady. I would lift the stamp up, realize not enough ink transfered, try to re-ink and place it back in same position (which NEVER works) and end up with double images. It was crazy, frustrating and fun all rolled up into one. I wish you luck with this. Just keep the margaritas nearby. Better yet, scratch that. You're going to need steady hands for this.

Thanks for the advice Pamcrow. I bought it yesterday and when it comes, I'll practice a lot until I get it just right so I don't ruin my invitation paper.
don't know how I missed this post! I like the stamp Diva G!! I think it will bring just that more elegance to your overall theme!!! Great look
I love the stamp too. I ditto Pam's advice about having plenty of extras just in case. Prepare for about 24 hours dry time, so you'll need a place to spread them out...Oh and if you're using the matte gold, it can smear when you slide them into the envelopes so be careful, so 48 hours dry time may be better. I did this with silver for my SIL bridal shower invites on white paper and it came out good, but it was a lot of trial and error for the perfect invite.
Good Luck. Great Idea!
