Hello and welcome. You have surely found the right site for geat wedding advice. We need to know a little more of what you like or what ideas you had thus far. Would you like your hair up or down, long or short. Also we need to know where you are located to give you some good sites to host your ceremonies.

Pocketfolds ARE expensive to have done but you can do them yourself and save money! Try www.cutcardstock.com or www.cardsandpockets.com for the pocketfolders. You can then design the invitation and inserts yourself, print them out on cardstock, and assemble them yourself.

Here are some instructions: http://roadtotheaisle.blogspot.com/search/label/invitations
She actually made her own pocketfolders as well but I don't have the patience for that!

Re: Only 8 Months, 2 weeks and 6 days to Go!!!

Glad to see that you're coming along very nicely.

At this stage in your planning, all the things that I've posted for Months 12 - 9 should've been completed by now. Including creating and tracking of guest list, a wedding webpage (which you'll find invaluable). You should've taken your engagement pictures. Picked out your attendants and FH should've picked his out as well. Meet with your pastor, if you're having a church wedding to discuss spiritual premarital counseling. By now you should've also be researching your wedding pros (Photographers, videographers, DJs, Florists, cateres, etc...)your Monograms and Ring bearer's pillow should've been purchased by now. You both should've registered for gifts. Decide on food and liquor to be serve at your reception. Select your wedding accessories (headpiece/veil, gloves, shoes/sandals, stockings, jewelry, etc),

I'm so very glad to see that you've finalized the date and time of your wedding. That you've finalized your colors as well. Have you chosen your wedding theme and style? How many guests will there be? How are you coming with your wedding gown search? Have you mailed out your save-the-date cards? Have you booked your caterer yet? Make musical selections for both ceremony and reception? Book your photographer/videographer? Transportation to and from the wedding? Book a block of rooms at a nearby hotel for your out of town guests? Have you held your first "Meet and Greet" with all your attendants yet to discuss your wedding style and outfits? By now, your wedding gown should've been selected, depends on designer, because some salons would ask for 5 months for you to have your gown back. Will you be having special performances or readings at your wedding? Have you chosen gowns for the girls and have your FH narrowed down his choice of tuxes for the guys? Have you researched airlines, hotels and car-rental reservations for guests? Have you reserved your bridal suite (to dress on your wedding day)?

I know it's a lot of details sister, but all of the things that I mentioned above should've been done already for you to be on schedule in order not to feel overwhelmed. I want you as relaxed as can be and always smiling!!!

Now that you're approching your 8th month countdown, these are the things you should be concentrating on.

1. Finish any items that you did not take care of during the countdown months of 12 - 9.
2. Go to gown fitting - invite your mother/maid of honor to attend in order to help finalize your choice of gown, if you have not done so by now
3. Order gowns for all female attendants, if you haven't done so by now.
4. Research for a variety of wedding rings styles and make a selection - work on your wedding ring budget.
5. Select florist and sign contract.
6. Purchase a nice Guestbook and pen.

*** That should be all for now, to get you through your 8th month and waiting on the tasks for month 7, as your countdown continues. Happy planning sister.
