Go to Florida!!! There's always something to do for everyone or go to VA, Myrtle Beach to be exact. I take my kids there all the time and they love it!!!
You may try Key West. There are lots of new and interesting things kids and adults can learn such as snorkeling, fishing, etc. You can always try Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. There are lots of museums, hotels with great rates, and theme parks such as Miami Seaquarium and Lion COuntry Safari. There is also IMAX theaters, plenty of shopping and sightseeing, and you can never go wrong with the beach being less than 20 minutes from anywhere in the whole tri-county area: Palm Beach, Broward(Ft. lauderdale) and Miami-Dade (Miami) Counties.
In Central FL (Besides Orlando) you can try Busch Gardens in Tampa....They are on the west coast of FL, so the sunsets are beautiful....In South FL, its all about the sun rises- And in Winter Haven FL, you have Cypress Gardens-which is another Theme Park...
If your kids have already been to Disney, Epcot and MGM, you may want to take them to Universal Studios (Movie park or Islands of Adventure-I'd do both!), Animal Kingdom, Sea World, Wet and Wild, or try Disney World at night! Its different and another interesting way to enjoy Disney World. There is also Discovery Cove (Swim with the dolphins!)
For adults you have plenty of clubs such as The House of Blues where many famous artists give concerts on a regular basis, and City Walk, Hard Rock Cafe, Down Town Disney (Pleasure Island/BET Sound Stage & a lot of clubs here), Cirque du Soliel, Wide World of Sports, Mall of the Millenium, Premium Outlets, etc etc)
So I guess I am saying do Orlando-cause its not all about Disney...There is so much to do withouts taking one step to Walt Disney, etc. There are plenty of Hotels to fit your budget, and have something for you ALL. We go to Orlando every year because of the black College football classic game and we always find something new to do and we are from FL....Its also easy to get flights there too.
A cruise is always nice. My son loves them. They pretty inexpensive ....ecspecially if you shop around or find a travel agent who specializes in them
Also they are all inclusive so if the kids pick at their food and waste it you wont be too mad. They also include camps for the kids so you and your honey dont have to have them with you the entire time.
IF you need a recommendation on a travel agent let me know
Weve used the same one for SEVERAL years and she has found us some awsome deals
