Has anyone done their Save the Date cards yet? What do you think about those free online ones? I am considering using one for my friends and family that are more computer saavy and sending cards to the older family members or those that don't have access to a computer.

Evite does it online or, you can use Word Document, Powerpoint, Publisher and attach the document as if its a regular file and send to all your friends! Be careful with Publisher because if the person you send it to doesn't have it, it won't come up....but I think that works too...I have recieved Baby Shower invites this way and they were beautiful!

A lot of the free wedding websites offer free save the dates. I've seen that save-the-dates can be sent 6-9 months before the wedding.

I did online Save the Dates with weddingchannel.com and they came out nice.
My save-the-date cards will be one of my DIY projects actually. I'm planning to cut as much cost as possible and do most of the projects myself.
