I had a 25 year old with 4 live children, but had a total of 8 pregnancies....all of them with a negativ outcome: Either the children are born too early, or severly underweight...When I saw her she had brought her 1 month old baby in who was only 3 pounds! Talk about a mess!
FH and I have agreed to wait at least 2 years before having kids. We have 3 boys right now (he has two and i have one) and they are of age where grandparents don't mine keeping them. So we want to enjoy one another FIRST before adding to the family. But who knows what will happen once the wedding is over. He wants a girl SO BAD

God bless the women that have the paitience & the heart (Bee, MzPrice2be, etc) to help those who don't help themselves.
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

It's true .. crazy huh? Well her mother has 8 herself .. I guess maybe they're just fertile.. The family has been in the system for years this is why i have so much information.
i just couldn't imagine.. Hmm well I don't want to imagine.. At 13 i was just starting high school.. heck i didn't even do my own laundry .. let alone give birth!!
Talk about a cycle...I had one in my office yesterday who had just given birth at age 16 a week ago......Lets not mention that her mom had her at age 16 too......I mean, her mom is 32....hardly looking like a grandmother!
Guess it just runs in the families lol..
My mom just turned 47 .. I am her only child and she is just dying for grand-babies lol.... I know you're never really prepared for a child but gosh I just couldnt imagine being a grandmother so young .. Nowadays women are waiting longer to have children .. whats the rush anyway.. We can do all kinds of things now like freeze your eggs.. well its a thought anyway..:)
And Musik, are we planning for 2009? Let us know and keep us in the loop of your details!
You called me out, Future! Yeah we had to push back our original date in '08 because FH's mother died on the operating table in August (she was 46). Vibrides who've been on the boards for a while know that we're both 26 and head of household (my mother passed in '05). Sooooo, I'm looking at early 2009, maybe on our anniversary in March. These days my iPod shuffle is the only thing drowning out by biological clock.
Child please! At 26 your clock is still a Timex! LOL! You have plenty years to make those babies! I had mine at 23 and 28 - and am EXTRA careful now at 31 to be sure I don't make any more! LOL!

Girl, I know you're right but I can't help it. It just feels right, you know. The funny thing is I act like I have some say in this, like God don't already have the whole thing sewed up. LOL!
Hey Classy! Have fun TTC. Don't let all that charting get in the way of the fun!
And Musik, are we planning for 2009? Let us know and keep us in the loop of your details! Oh, and trust me, having another year to yourself will be a blessing! I can't even go to the bathroom without little knocks on the door! LOL!

Hi! Thanks! The charting was the fun part because it was interesting watching my body do what God intended it to. However.....
Sex on demand? HORRIBLE. Then not getting pregnant after supposedly "doing all the right things" for several months was TERRIBLE. Then getting pregnant but miscarrying... Even worse. :o(
We're better now. I had to stop looking at people who were easily getting pregnant from one night stands or from people they didnt even "like" and focus on what is in store for us and our marriage.

Sorry to hear that (FH's mother). I feel you on the bio clock. I have specific plans for a family and I don't want to be 35 and walking around pregnant. I want my baby carrying days over at 31/32. However, as God has taught me, it just doesn't work when you want it to work sometimes. We've got to wait on Him. Good luck in 2009. I hope it is a wonderful process for the both of you.

Yup. We're planning our first - one of the reasons I haven't been on here in a long time. We sat down and decided to move forth with our family plans we had talked about before the wedding. We started ttc in july. And when I mean planning, I mean planning! I chart my temperatures, check my cervix, follow my OPK readings for my LH surge and everything. Hopefully it will happen soon.
Well congratulations! It WILL happen for you guys..just be patient...and HAPPY TRYING!!!!! LOL
Thanks! I hope your wedding is everything you want it to be. I see your ticker! Say good-bye to Miss....and hello to Mrs.! lol
I know I'm late on this post, but I feel TERRIFIED to have a baby. I terrified of everything that was mentioned by a couple of the vibrides. I'm terrified of what it will do my body (I know that seems selfish, but it's the truth). I terrified of raising a child in the CRAZY world we live it. I'm terrified of the responsibilty that you have over someone else's life. I feel like I'm just starting to get myself together. My husband is just getting his career good and started. I'm trying to maybe change my career into something that I really want to do. We just got married last July and already people have been asking when are we going to have a baby. I mean really, why can't my husband and I enjoy are marriage at least for a couple of years before we bring that HUGE responsiblity into it? My mom's like go ahead and have one and things will be taken care of....how are things going to be taken care of when there's nothing in place to have one? I mean of course like someone's said on here you can never be totally financially ready for a child, but you can put yourself in a better position to provide for that child. So it's all of that and more that just has me nervous as all get out to have a baby. My husband and I have discussed it and we are at least looking at a couple years before we even try.

soon2b~ when it's right for you, you will know. I understand about waiting. You're young, there's no rush and why shouldn't you and your husband enjoy each other first. It doesn't sound selfish to me at all.
Soon I agree with G...it is a wonderful thing to be a parent but your life WILL change dramatically...you know longer live for you, but now for this precious being so it is a huge responsibility. I think as long as you and FH are both comfortable with the decision to wait, then don't feel pressured...enjoy each other--all that will do is provide your child a more stable and loving environment with two parents are are loving and totally committed to each other and the precious being! :)

There never really is a perfect time to have a baby. I have heard that if you are financially doing well, married, and in your twenties. GO FOR IT!
I mean you never know how long it will take you to concieve. My baby wasnt planned. I thought because the tv is full of shows about infertility that I could just coast. WRONG. I didnt use anything in November and havent had a period since. LOL.
This time I am going to be very careful and wait until after we are better settled to have a second baby.
