I am researching centerpieces for the reception and I want something unique and elegant. We are having an all white (accented in silver) reception. Any suggestions for centerpieces? Especially any DIY projects.

oooh that all white reception is going to be the bomb! :) I already know it will be very pretty and elegant..for the shower, maybe incorporate your honeymoon (if you guys are doing one) or make the theme something that you guys really enjoy doing

When is your wedding? Are YOU planning the shower (we wanted the same thing)?
Are we sticking with the white? You could do 2 Doves-which is a symbol of love ..you know 2 birds of feather type of thing ...I'll think of more if you need me to ...give me/us some of yall interests and will the colors be the same for shower?

djimonsmom, I don't know what your budget is for the centerpieces, but I would certainly take Turiya's last choice with the floating candles and maybe you could sprinkle some silver rose petals on the table, on the glass disc holding the candle holder. It would look absolutely fantastic.
Simple, but definitely elegant!!!

Right now we are pretty open with the budget HOWEVER, I would prefer to stick with the DIY projects for the centerpieces. I do love the idea of the floating candles. Send as many pictures as you guys have. I'm not very handy so I need visual.
As far as the shower goes, I was tasked with supplying the theme. But I still haven't come up with anything. I found an idea that may work - around the clock theme- each guest is given a time frame and their gift have to coordinate with the time. (ie. 6-8am- waffle maker, juicer (breakfast), 9-12pm-lingerie). but being that it's a couples shower I want FH to feel included as well.

what if i alternated between the two? Now my calla lillies are mango. and the costers are my favors as well, that will be at each place setting. Is this too much? does it take away from the elegant feel?
