Get outta my head, I was thinking the same thing. I want to use one but I don't know how it will work. I've been at a couple weddings that have had them and people love it. You just put on a tray different things to dip into the chocolate, like pound cake, fruit, etc.

I have a coworker that has a side business that does chocolate fountains. She brings in the medium sized one for us during holidays and we just supply the goodies. I am really considering having one especially since most if not all companies have someone that stays at the function to maintain the machine. If you are having a smaller sized event you can get the self service one and it would work. They are a wonderful conversation piece at functions.
Someone told me they had two chocolate fountains (white chocolate and milk chocolate) and it was a big hit at their wedding. I've seen some inexpensive ones at Garden Ridge. You may also be able to find one at Hobby Lobby, party rental stores, and www.efavormart.com.
I went to http://www.chocolatevelvetfountains.com/ and they supply the attendents 2 keep everything nice and clean for you and that was my big worry that over there would look like a kindergarden classroom after snack time.

So funny! But TRUE.....I can see myself now, hanging out at the fountain the whole reception...I am like a kid after nap time when it comes to chocolate!
Has anyone used this or is thinking about using this on your day, What do you think of it, if you have used it how did it turn out?

We had a chocolate fountain during our beeptail hour. There was a separate station set up for it. From everything I hear, the guests really loved it.
