Have you or will you wear false eyelashes for your wedding day? I've never worn them but I was thinking about wearing some on my wedding day. I just don't want them to look too fake. What are your thoughts about false eyelashes?

I think they look nice on some people - SOME! I would suggest doing a trial 1st to make sure their for you. They take some getting used to. When my beautician was learning I let her use me. They were not for me, not because of the way they looked but I couldn't get used to the feel. I would also suggest getting individual lashes instead of the full ones.

I just checked the pic is too small ...but like Future said, you have to get use to them and they have SEVERAL different styles if you do decide to the to use full ones ...play with them first.
I saw some at Sally's for $3.99 but I didn't know which ones to try. I forgot the brand but the style called "Tyra" was too bushy. Then, I saw some that had glitter or tiny gems on them. I 'm not sure about those, I don't what to over do it. Turiya, do you have a pic with a close up of your lashes?
ladies be careful! my friend that got married in Sept had some on and she "blinked" through out her whole wedding ceremony! needless to say, by the end of the night, her lashes were on the table by her drink!! :)
Sorry Plat, I don't think so ...but all the pics of me with "clothes" on ..LOL I have lashes on ...see I buy those that look natural just with a little more length ..I don't go for the ones that look thicker (bushes), but the ones that will give me more length ...
I'm all for them....I have a pair that are perfect....the lashes are very sparse, so they look natural on me. You can also have them professionally done with the store bought kind (on a track) or the individual lashes which you can also purchase...usually its like 20.00+ to get them professionally done but its worth it....I love them!

Did she wear the individual lashes? Maybe she didn't use enough adhesive? Thanks for your opinions, Ladies. I might buy some from Sally's today, just to "play with" and see if I like them. But, I'll also check when I get a makeup trial.

A friend that got married in Sept had the glitter ones and I thought they complimented her makeup which was kept minimal. I think I will try them for my wedding as well - although I'll rather stick to the non-glitter ones as it will be a brunch reception.
Well ladies if you decided to wear lashes, please have them professionally done. One thing I'd like to share, I tried to do mine myself on my wedding day (it worked perfectly before), but I don't know if I was nervous or my skin was doing it's on thing -- but I couldn't get the little critters on! It was so frustrating and my MOH tried to help, disaster-- so ladies please have them professionally done -- LOL!!!!!

Lashes does take some getting use to. I had never worn them until I did my makeup consultation. Within an hour or two I forgot I had them on, but I'm sure everyone is different. Personally I think they really enhances the eyes and are worth the extra few dollars. But like everyone else said, play around with them first. Don't wait until wedding day to try them out for the first time.
Here in London- theres a lady in my salon who does them individually- it takes a long time- But honey its worth it- It really does make your eyes pop and give you that Disney movie princess look HAHA- go for it. Yeah always mind the price tag...dont skimp too much on your day, especially if you have never done it before. Here it costs

There is a beauty supply store that has a girl doing lashes in my area. I wanted to get mine done yesterday but she wasn't in yet and I didn't get to go back to the store. Hopefully, I'll get a trial before Thanksgiving.
Lol .. Ok i'm a little late on this topic ladies but ... I wear lashes pretty regularly (at least once per week since i was about 15) one trick that works for me is to put the glue on then wait about a minute in a half then apply the lash.. by that time the glue is tacky and you dont have to play with them so much to get them in the right place. Oh also put them on before putting on ANY make-up, despite what the box says .. trust me :).. Oh and keep a little bottle of glue and a toothpick for touch ups if you might need them .. (especially on a hot day)..
Hope this is helpful .. :)
Oh and use the dark glue .. cause if you make a mess it will blend in with your eyeliner or eye make-up lol .. the clear stuff doesn't always dry quite clear.
Ok ill shut up now :)

I'm late on this topic as well, but no, no false eyelashes for me on my wedding day. I want to be comfortable and my eyelashes are naturally long anyway. I've tried them before and found them profoundly irritating. So no, I will stick with what God gave me.
