I am the baked Mac & Cheese Queen in my family. LOL. I always tell people to season to their taste, the only thing I do different is use Mozzarella cheese an Cheddar cheese in it.
I am the Dessert Diva in my family. Besides the ham, mac'n cheese, greens, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet cornbread muffins, and sweet potatoe casserole (topped with streusel & marshmallows); I'm more focused on new dessert creations like, apple-pecan cheesecake, french vanilla cake, or lemon tarts.
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

I know we are sistahs in spirit. I do the desserts too. I have not had any requests, but I think I will go ahead and do a traditional chocolate. I usually do 2 or 3. For Christmas I am going to be Mrs. Cookie Monster and Cupcake Girl....I recently perfected my red velvet cake from scratch-but I don't think I'll have time to do it this week because of my traveling schedule. I think that I may shoot for Christmas for the red-velvet. I also did some red velvet cupcakes that came out great!

I make a neapolitan cake (chocolate, strawberry, vanilla) cake with cream cheese frosting.
Living my life like it's GOLDEN!!
That neopolitan cake sounds deeee-lish, Niquey.
Kee, I know that red velvet recipe was tough because its hard to find good red velvet cake in the first place. Please send it to me (when you get a chance). I'll try it out for Christmas. DH's birthday was this weekend, so I made the chocolate cake for him. I'm definitely doing the apple-pecan cheesecake, and if the chocolate cake is gone by Thursdays (which it almost is), I'm going to make a lemon bundt cake with cream cheese drizzle.

Its actually Cake Man Raven's recipe!
I got it off the food network website. Now some people like more cocoa...But I don't so it was perfect for me. My DH doesn't like that much of a cream cheese flavor, or the pecans, so I tweaked it. But it came out so moist and delicious. It makes like 3 layers and LOTS of the cream cheese frosting. Dh also likes more cocoa, but I don't see the purpose so I did it according to the recipe. I don't know why people want a CHOCOLATE red velvet cake, but I will try with more cocoa and see. But it comes out blood red, so its nice and pretty!

I'm going to S.C. tomorrow for the holidays, and in addition to pecan pie...red velvet cake is on the menu! I'll have to check out how my cousin does hers. My specialty is my 4 cheese macaroni and cheese. I actually enjoy doing the complete dinner, though. The best candied yams I've ever had was at a friend's house last year. If I don't get the recipe from her I'm going to duplicate it myself. Everyone please have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.

I am the "Mommy" of my family. All comes to me for the holidays when I was in Florida. This year, I'm spending it with friends in MD, but I'll be the one doing all the cooking because they love my cooking so. A favorite of my daughter's is my Vegetable Lasagna in Parmesan Cream Sauce. I'll share my recipes with you divas, if you want it. It's truly great!!!
