Instead of Flowers

OK, this is just my opinion, but I love your idea as something you could do as a centerpiece for the reception rather than for your BMs to carry. But that's just me.

I can't really see it myself. What you can do is shop around at a craft store and buy a few samples of the materials you've envisoned and put it together....Then post a pic that we can see.

The cutest Christmas bouquet I saw was done a year ago at a December wedding at my church...They kept the church very simple with big red bows on the pews and in the back. They also decorated with a few potted red ponsiettas along the back entryway. The bouquet was actually a simple array of one or two silk red roses -not the cheap silk flowers or that fire-engine red, but a soft, but deep cranberry red) with a couple of red poinsettas and some small white itty bitty flowers mixed in wrapped in a simple red velvet ribbon with gold embroidery....I loved it because they made such a large statement in such a simle way!
.....Not saying you have to do this, but remember that whatever you create for the BM's has to be replicated to the T for howevever many BM's you have. Also you don't want the effect to get lost in the details if there are too many. So definitely experiment with your ideas and see how you like it....your idea sounds like a big bouquet, but put it together and see how you come out:)

Oh yeah, the crystal bouquets are really popular in the Christmas weddings too.

Girl, I really can't say other than post a couple of pics you find online of a similar sample or make a sample yourself and take a picture of it in the store.

I agree, I want to see some pictures before I form an opinion.

Turiya girl, brownie points on your originality ~ how about if I offer you a compromise? I can see your christmas ball, alternating burgunday and gold. At the top, where the little hoocks go, how about threading a gold or burgundy ribbon, pending on the color of the ball, you'd want to use opposite ribbon (Gold ball ~ burgundy ribbon) that way, the ribbon could be hung at the wrist of your BMs like a nosegay flower arrangement. Then perhaps, you could incorporate some lilly of the valley ( in order to get your greens). Lilly of the valleys are beautiful vines. How about entertwining the lilly of the valleys unto the ribbons or forego the ribbons altogether and thread the lilly of the valleys through the christmas ball hoops and it will look like a nosegay bouquet.

Think about it. It will be lovely (yes girl, ginoue wants you to do yet another DIY project. As if you don't have enough on your plate!!! lmao ~

If that's the case girl get you some styrofoam balls, spray glue, gitter and ribbon from the craft store and have at it! LOL!

You could hang a ribbon from the top and they can wear them around their wrist.

Those are pretty...especially with the gown! You don't need to do any flowers with those...How absolutely unique! Good Job! You will make a great impression on your wedding day. You may be able to do a small version of mini-balls to wrap with a nice flower for the boutainnaires....My brother used some pearls along with the flower in the boutainnaires because the bride and BM's had pearls in the bouquets...so you may be able to find that color in the pearls to accent the boutainnaires.......keep experimenting with your flowers and other accents! As you can see, you will amaze yourself at what you come up with!

You go girl! You are on a roll! Good for you by taking charge! You are cutting costs, and seeing your ideas followed through! To have someone do it for you can be so costly...I am excited for you girl! Keep us posted and take a pic of the boutainnaires when you put them together!

Turiya-did you use styrofoam balls and if so, what size did you use? I am thinking of doing the rose bouquet ball but not sure what size I should do them
