I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with stuff like this. FI is a graphic designer and wants to do the invites. I thought it would be a great idea. He asked me what i wanted them to look like and I sent him the ideas I showed him and told him I want bling, glam, royalty feel to it...

My aunt took new pics for the invites. They were nice but I only like a few. ( I hate pics that my face looks chubby i...you know that extra little pit of chin that can slide out. HATE IT! and if I see it it's out)

So he sends me a picture of his work and was so proud of it...But is nothing like what i told him. The colors are pink gold and silver.. He has the backgroud as a digital grass field with fire flies glowing around us and in the middle a pic of us (one that I told him i don't like) smack in the middle...It looks like a birthday card not and invite.

I told him good work but I was looking for something more regal. But meanwhile I was screaming on the inside "how many times did I say what I wanted!"

....I'm ready to buy them instead...Seriously. i'm not ungreatful just frustrated. He's one of those guys that you tell to push in his chair and he says okay then forgets and you have to tell him again...and again....

While you ladies are suffereing from "over help" I'm suffering from NO help! I told FH I was putting a deposit on the reception site today. He says he doesn't want to have the reception there but has no suggestions otherwise! As hard as I've been searching for sites that will allow us to bring in our own food and liquor! He's gonna get cut! He has NO clue what it takes to plan a wedding!

PUT THE KNIFE (or blade) DOWN!!!!! :) because I need to use it for FH!! he has same issues!! I did the wedding favors last night and I was REALLY proud of myself and what does he say-baby it's cute, BUT the flowers should have been a little bigger..
WTF??? he was VERY lucky I didn't take the glue gun and give him a shot of hot glue in his eye!!

One of my favors or wedding brooms with magnets on the back and a rosette (in our wedding color) on the front-I thought it looked rather nice, but HE busted my bubble! :(

Some of you girls are so lucky - your FH's are so involved in the planning! Just when I thought FH was still excited about the wedding planning after 10 months of being engaged, he has now got bored!! I'm trying to get him to look at stationery now and he's fallen asleep!

He's asked me to leave it till the weekend (which I can appreciate - I know he's tired!) but still, why are we girls always more excited than the boys??

I gotta say that you ladies are lucky because my FH is still deployed in Iraq so he cant really do anything at this point but write checks. He will be home in january though and he better be ready because im putting that a$@ to work.

I am right there with you guys! Not only do I not have help to do a SIMPLE wedding, FH can't even pick up the phone to make a call to the planner or anything. He doesn't understand, its even harder to plan a destination wedding when FH lives in another state.
He says, just tell me what to wear and when to show up! :(

For those ladies whose FHs are dragging their feet with the planning, I feel your pain!!! Hang in there, it does get better :-)

You ladies are killing me. Now you all know that eversince you were proposed to that you would be doing this all along. If you receive help from your overzealous FH ~ count your blessings. And for those who are not much of a help ~ admit it, isn't it better that they didn't anyway because we would have to turn around and redo them?

Lighten up ya'll, take a deep breath and everythime you feel frustrated by your FH, just give him a kiss to shut him up, wrap your arms around his neck and say "I don't know what I would do without you" and walk away to the bathroom for a five minutes. By the time you return, all will be well and he will seem less annoying to you.

Well my FH doesnt want to help and im happy he told me to do what ever i wanted and make sure i didnt leave out any details that i ever wanted, i still show him the final choices that i select.

Welcome Turiya! Although you a old hat now! Thanks for making my day! I really needed the laugh and the girls are right you are lucky to have a man interested and as excited as you are. Believe me HE IS RARE!
