The Other Ring

Ladies,

I have a question. Do you have or want a ring for the right hand that would over power the ring on the left? I have a equally sized/beautiful ring that I brought a while ago for the left then moved it to the right hand after my engagement ring got there. Now I want another ring, I don't want to upgrade my wedding ring (so soon)but I know if I go shopping for another ring for my right hand it will over power it. Is that ok? I'm not sure if I have a complex about the right hand over powering the left yet. I'm undecided. I saw a lady lastnight with a VERY VERY nice ring on her right hand and it VERY much so overpowered her beautiful wedding bands. Then I have a co-worker who switches up the ring on her left hand with multiple rings her husband brought through out their years of marriage.

So I'm wondering, how special to you is your ring ...because ultimately I believe that may be what is it. My ring still has that specialness to it, that I don't want other one taking it's shine, you know. Over the years, it may not bother me then.

How do you ladies feel about this topic?

Girl please. For me, what's happening on the left don't have anything to do with the right. I say go for it.

Re: The Other Ring

I have a 10KT. Blue Topaz that I now wear on my right hand. I bought it for my left hand. I originally bought this ring for myself after I had gone through my divorce and also had a spot that was cancer removed from my neck. This was a gift that I gave myself for being a survivor. I don't worry that this ring will over power my engagement ring or even my wedding ring once I get it. I really think it depends on how much importance you (as an individual) put on it.

I have several funky right hand rings. When I dress up I feel naked without one of then.

I say go for it sister. I have several right hand rings and it doesn't overshadow my engagement ring on the left.

Re: The Other Ring

I am a little controlling. Just a tad so when I picked the ring I wanted from my FH I thought about just buying it for myself and then wearing it on my left hand because I like it so much. But he insisted that we go and get that one together as my engagement ring. RATS! lol I am still going to get a left hand ring.
