Welcome Msparker. Glad you found us. I love your color choices. There was actually someone who posted pics recently with those same color choices. I used burnt orange as well. If you search forums you will find the bridewith your color choices. I don't remember her name but she has only posted once that I can remember. Sistas, what's her name again?

Welcome msparker_7076! trust me-you will LOVE the energy up in here! :)
My wedding is going to take place between 4:30 and 5:00pm. I haven't set a definite time yet. I think I am going to do the ceremony and the reception at the same place because if I do it at the church I am going to have to do it that Fri evening or Saturday and I sort of want an evening candlelight wedding on that Sat. So with the colors I am using what ideas so you ladies have for any decorations and unique party favors?

Hi Tiffy B! I really wish I could have been at this wedding. How was it? How was it decorated? Did they have anything unique? Please elaborate.

Actually it was a very simple wedding. The groom was a friend of my fiance's, and I had never met him or his now wife. But anyways, they didn't really want to have a big wedding/reception, so there was not a lot of decorating involved, however the color combination was very pretty. The girls wore burnt orange dresses and carried bouquets of orange calla lilies and another flower (not sure what kind it was), but it was white or ivory. The men wore black tuxedos with latte accessories and orange calla lily boutonnieres. As far as the decor at the church, they just used large flower arrangements with mixtures of white flowers. At the reception, there were glass bowl centerpieces at each table, set on top of 8-10" mirrors, with an orange candle inside. Each table was covered with a white linen cloth, while the head table was covered with a brown linen cloth and had several orange candle centerpieces. It looked really pretty. The cake was a basic white cake, 4 tiers I believe, with orange flowers on each level. Their monogrammed initials were on the bottom front of the cake. This is pretty much what I remember as far as the specific colors! Let me know if you have any more questions! Good luck, and we're all here to help.

It's all up to what you truly want. No wedding is ever the same, you will add your own very special touch not matter what colors you decide on. Please let us know what you decide.

I'm thinking about using pink and chocolate. I seen some cute bridesmaid dresses on the net today so once I actually go look at them I'll make a decision. My father is deceased and I want to make a tribute to him on my wedding day but I dont know how or what I could do. Has anyone ever did a tribute at a ceremony, seen it done or has any unique ideas?

pink & chocolate is a very popular color this season-actually ANY color and chocolate is "in"! :)
FH and I are doing memorial tributes to his mom & my son. We will both lay down a rose in the pew for them and also we are having my sister do a memorial tribute reading during our ceremony. there are many different ideas you can use: lighting a candle, putting a poem in your wedding program, using a picture at the ceremony-anything that you would like to do in memory will be special, so use your imagination! :)
