My FH and I are the same age. He is 7 months older.
I have been in relationships with 6+ years older and a couple 6+ years younger. In all those other cases the attraction was there along with some chemistry; but there was nothing to hold it all together or stablize it.
I don't believe that age really matters as long you're happy.
Love lights even the darkest of paths.
What Fire doesn't destroy, only makes stronger.
Even when you don't know; God knows. I will be still and let Him do His thing.
Alone in the world; but always in the company of the Lord.
FH is basically 6 years older then me (minus 1 month). I believe as long and you are on the same level, whether its with maturity or lack there of, your relationship will be successful. I have a friend with an "old soul" so I knew she would end up with someone much older than us. There is a 14 year gap between her and her DH.
My DH is a year and 4 months older than me, but some days he's 30 years older, some days he's like an 18 year old (he's 28), and others like this past week since he's been sick, he is 6. So there you go.
I am five monthes older than FH. Ironically I usually talked to guys that were 5 even 10 years older than me. Ironically I found that the oldest ones acted the youngest! When I was 19 I talked to a guy that was 27 and behaved worse than a 15 year old female!
[quote="tdankel5"]My husband is 5 and a half years older than me, and that means that we are on the same level since women are more mature than men!!!!

My husband is the first guy I ever dated that was younger than me. I'm only 5 months older than him but sometimes it seems I'm about 10-15 years older. Especially when things aren't going his way.
"I'm a work in progress, God is not through me yet"
My FH is 4 years older than me - he is always going on abut how he is so much older he is and i makes a lot of difference - e.g when I was 14, he was already out clubbing with his boys at 18! I keep telling him that it doesn't matter now we're older!
Just like the others have said - he acts like a baby when he's ill, hungry or joking around!!
I am 9 years older than my FH. I'd like to think that age doesn't matter now, but in the beginning of our relationship, we use to focus on that a lot. We almost broke up a few times because he would focus on it a bit much until I reminded him that I was not the one who came after him. I told him that he was the one doing the persuing even when I wasn't interested. That ended there. Then his aunt and his mother started in on the age difference between us and now, well, that a whole other story.

Well i am 7 years older than my fh. This is a first for me, but what i do notice is that the same issues i had with all the older guys i used to date are the same issues i have with my fh. so i came to the conclusion that age really does not matter, its the connection. our age difference is not obvious to most people, and both of our families are supportive, but even if they weren't, i'd say who cares! he is my best friend, he loves me and understands me exactly the way i am (which is no easy task), he supports me in every way, he goes to work everyday and i am head over heels in love for the first time in my life!!!!

I couldnt help but agree with Bumblebeekee... My FH is 3 years older than me (he's 33) but there are times when I feel like I'm talking to a 10 year old.
Overall a man is a man, whether older or younger than you there would always be issues. As long as there is love, respect, honesty and communication between the couple all should go well
Men like to be treated as such-like a MAN...and when they are, the rewards are definitely great for that woman. Age doesn't matter as long as there is a connection....My mom is 52 and her boyfriend is 48, but spoils my mom so much often times she gets to be like a little spoiled brat and vice versa....like I said before, my husband is like my child right now....I still don't know what we are going to do when we do have kids....someone is going to have to step up:)
People on the outside looking in ALWAYS has something to say...and if it bothers you, then you have to get over your own insecurities so the relationship can work...I think as long as you are MATURE consenting adults....(At least 18-21), then is possible to have a great relationship with someone of a different age "generation" than you (for lack of a better word)...The key is MATURITY...I do have a problem with the 9-13 year old girls Iwe see in our offices with babies from some 16+ year old...child or nasty man (18+). Also, those 17 year olds with 25+....I am a little shaky.
At first I used to stress about our age difference since he is 12 yrs younger. But now I'm just enjoying al lthe advantages. The man I was with long long ago who was older wouldnt do nothing but watch sports on the days off. But now my man is always ready to go. Oh and I do mean that in more than 1 way. I'm so lucky.

i know what you mean comebehappy2, those 7 years... i was like are you kidding me? but he is the best provider and so much fun and we can actually hold a wonderful conversation.... something i never had with my ex, who was 13 years older. and i realize how young i am and how old i'm not.

Age is just a number,i guess what matters is maturity between you too and the chemistry.
Who can find a virtuos woman....
My hubby & I are only two years apart. I don't think age matters (especially after 30).
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

I am 5 1/2 months older than FH and he HATES it!! :) his response: it doesn't matter who was born first, we both were born in the same year! :)

Believe me when he gets to be in the senior citizen age he won't be bragging then.
