Hey Ladies,
It's been so long, you guys are getting married left and right and I have so much catching up to do.
Just to give a clean rundown of what's been goin' on in my newlywed life... We had our reception on Aug. 5, everything went well, our crazy friends gave really conservative toast (suprisingly) and even though it rained on our outdoor ceremony it was a blast. The cake came out great, except for the fact that the lady who made the cake misproportioned the bottom level of the cake so it was damn near the same size as the middle layer. But it was still gorgeous nontheless. (I will post pix as soon as I kno how...hint,hint) We had so much fun at our small reception & so many people came to show their support that we decided to postpone our "Real Wedding" that we were planning for next year to seven years from 7/7/07 (I know we just can't let the sevens go...lol) We don't want people to be like "didn't I go to their wedding last year?"
DH & I moved back down to school & got our first place together. 3bdrm 2bath apt newly remodeled for only 491/mo... GOD is so good for the broke college students...lol!!! Anyway, as much as I would love to say that EVERYTHING is perfect, I can't... We had been arguing about the little things, chores for the house & such... But I know what my DH wants (as he does have an "old soul") and he knows what I want (also being raised pretty tradional for the most part) so things are getting better. Communication...Communication...Communication
I guess you could say that I am a housewife/college student, aspiring business owner. B/c when I'm not in class, I'm cookin' & cleanin' like nobody's business. And when the house is finally clean (you know my son is home from school messin' everything up again...5 yr olds...then his daddy come in right behind him and mess more... 21 yr olds lol) We've hosted our first dinner party as a married couple and it turned out wonderful. B/c of that I have found my newest favorite thing to do, gourmet cook. I find some of the best recipes on the net, you gotta love food that not only looks great but taste great too.
We're in our last year of undergrad and trying to figure out where to go to law school, should we both go, should one go & the other work? To many decisions but we are praying on them so I know that God will point us in the right direction.
Finally, I've been up since like 4am reading through all the post that I've missed so I have a few comments quickly:
To all the August & September Brides..."Congratulations!!!"
Abeni: Time is just a tickin'. I know it's hard to decide on a theme, but whatever you decide it will be beautiful b/c you picked it...Pray on what theme you want go with and God will always help you out.
MrsMorgan: Welcome to the Board!
MrsRobinson2B & Bumblebeekee: How's married life treating you?
Housewife & FutureMrsKeepUp: I missed y'all soo much!!
Also, I haven't Tajmom name on any of the boards, where she at?
These are just a few of the names I ran across in the past few hrs so please don't take it personal...

I am glad to hear you are doing fine. Don't worry you two will be ok. There is no such thing as a perfect marriage I dont care what anyone says. There will be arguement and disagreements. But things will work themselves out, everything will be ok, and life will go on. Everything in life takes work, and patience especially a marriage. You will experience good times and bad times. Good Luck and Congratulations!

Aww thanks for asking about me:) Married life is great. And like House said, there is no such thang as a perfect marriage. I think that as long as you both decide that you are in it to win it, and work on it, then all will be fine. I am glad things are working out for you. Being a recent graduate I understand what it means to be in school and be married...it does take a little more....Plus you all hve a little one. Thankfully there is a God who will continue to strengthen you when you all have arguements....use them as an excuse to "make up" soon after. You may even go to bed angry sometimes, but as long as you pray for each other and that the next day will be a better day before you go to bed. Then when you wake up, give him a kiss, (even when he is wrong) and get your day started right...
I am so happy all is well with you. Enjoy these days....
For me married life is great. My birthday is today, so I am enjoying being spoiled rotten. I have been really spoiled since we got married, but as of today, my husband has got me rotten....So its great! Welcome back, and we can't wait to see more posts from you again:)
We've been Happily Married 2 Years and Counting:)

So glad you are back communicating with the sisterhood! Your marriage IS perfect because it was ordained by GOD. If there is no test, there is no testimony! If arguing produces a result agreeable to both parties - it was a perfect argument. As Bumble said, just remember to make-up soon after!
I know how it feels to have a child while going to school - My little one is 7 and I went back to get my 2nd degree when he was only 2. Now I have 7 and 1 (or 21, I'm not sure sometimes LOL) year olds, working, maintaining our home, and planning this wedding. Luckily FH is the kitchen and bedroom cleaner though!
Congratulations and welcome back! Your cake is beautiful! I like your avatar!
Born Blessed!
