I'm not having menu's since I'm doing a buffet.I haven't thought about doing a program for reception. It sounds like a good idea.If your going to have a sit down meal with different choices then I think you should have menu's.
I'm also having a buffet dinner, but have considered having menus. I think they might be a nice touch, something simple to go along with my colors. Could be kind of fun, if i have time to design them:) Is the reception program just a break down of what will be taking place at the reception?

pretty much! it just kinda outlined the "flow" of the reception; they also had a buffet but they wanted each table to come up when called instead of having people standing in line.
I'm having a buffet also. We are calling table numbers as well and trying to think of a creative way to call out the order (tables names pulled out a hat?). I'm thinking of doing a menu more as a decoration. I'm using clear glass plates and plan on having a circular menu under each setting to add more color!

I am doing a reception program. It will include the menu and a breakdown of the reception. We have a few activies planned for the reception(besides the garter and bouquet toss0 so I want the guests to have an idea of what else is going on.
Might be nice, but we're not having a program for the reception. We're having a buffet and I have a Lady-In-Waiting that will help move things along smoothly.
are any of you ladies have reception/menu programs? there was a wedding at my church last night where they had them. any thoughts???

I wasn't planning on having menu/reception programs but it sounds nice. I'll look into it.

I am not having them done since the reception hall is providing them.
