Hey Ladies, I have read on different web sites that I should have certain wedding pictures taken. I want to know if this is my choice or is this the photographer's choice? What pictures should I request? I am getting married in Jamaica so I hope that all of the pictures will be beautiful.

Welcome Msklee, You can actually find a list of all the types of pics to be taken on your wedding day by going over to "search" and type in "checklist". You will see a topic "Wedding worksheets and Checklists". Go to "view". There you will not only find a topic for Photos but there are A LOT of other helpful topics and checklists as well. HAVE FUN!

All of your pictures will be amazing. We went with a photojournalistic couple. They are in the background taking all the unseen pics and the posed ones as well. It depends on what you want your memories to be of.

Msklee, get your formal posed shots (there are tons of checklists out there as niki stated), but make sure your photographers get several candids as well. Make sure you assign someone to them to let them know who people are so you can have all the important people in your life in your album. Also inform them of any traditions or special things you are doing such as a sand ceremony, jumping broom, reception surprise, etc. I would give your videographer the same list as well if you're having one. HTH!
