I was watching 20 do's and don'ts of a wedding on Style network and i belive it was no. 5 don't wear a tiara. I found that kind of odd since almost everyone wears one. Do you plan to wear one? I do!

I saw that episode also, and I was in total disagreement! I definitely plan to wear a tiara, I think they add a really nice touch. I don't plan to wear a veil however.
I'm wearing a tiara! I've seen brides that haven't however. Some wear a flower in their hair, others a broach, and still others wear a headband of some sort. Whatever floats your boat!
I'm wearing a tiara; but not a veil. Maybe the style network meant a crown instead of tiara. lol

Absolutely yes! They are great even without a veil. We had a bride just last month get one for herself and smaller ones for her bridesmaids with colored stones. Also they are a MUST for white tie weddings (all women get to wear one). Wear what makes you happy on your wedding day.
I saw that episode to and I disagreed. The problem was that the tiara's that the people where wearing looked more like crowns. I'm wearing a tiara and a veil but my veil is very simple. Not like the girl on Bridezilla who had too much veil and too much crown.

I say go for the tiara - it's the only day we get to be a princess for a day - but not too big. The tiara and your jewellery should highlight your beauty on the day, not overpower you and your dress!!
I wore a headband that could have passed for a tiara, but it was different, 16.99, pretty so I bought it. I think that they were saying don't wear a crown because some people tend to look like a prom queen or too cotillion-like (which can come off like of juvenile-looking, instead of a bride (looking like a grown-up woman). The thing is I basically was looking for something pretty to wear in my hair, so I was open to whatever looks good on me...(trend or no trend), and after ruling out how the flowers, or braoch, or comb, and other accessories looked with my dress, I picked the prettiest accessory.....If thats the look you want (princess-like) then go for it-But define what YOU feel like what a Princess Looks Like. Because I felt like a QUEEN even though I didn't wear a crown....
I agreed with all of the do's and dont's on that show wholeheartedly. I think they were trying to get people try to do what they like-trust your OWN INSTINCTS when it comes to fashion, and not try to look like someone else because so and so said you should wear it like this or that. Thats what I took from it. So to answer your question...do what looks best on YOU...and that may or may not be a certain tiara.
To wear a tiara or not to wear one is a personal choice. I don't think there's anything wrong in wearing a tiara. I'm looking forward to wearing mine, without the veil
See thats why I love this site....because many of us, chose a more traditional route, many of us (like me) go partly with tradition-but some of us do it totally different, but the thing about it is...we are all doing it THE RIGHT WAY! Never ever forget that ladies:)

I am definately wearing one and so is my daughter.
I will not be wearing a tiara, but I will be wearing a tikka and a veil.
(Tikka is a piece of Indian Jewelry that goes down the middle of your forhead, kind of like hair jewelry)

I fell in love with the idea when my Indian friend brought it to my attention.

I agree with everyone else. Forget that show and wear your tiara girl!!! I'll be wearing one too, but without the veil.
I wore a headband but see ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with wearing a tiara. I think they are beautiful, forget all that other stuff and sport your tiara!

Girl that is beautiful, but big. Is it actually that size or is it a little smaller.

It is really pretty but I need to see it on a head!
That tiara is pretty, but way to big... you want people to look at you not just the tiara.LOL
