Soon2bmsj I was thinking the same thing. We are thinking of doing an instrumental version of a song for Mama. Because there are not many songs that we can think of for MAMA.

We are having Ribbon In the Sky 4 the recessional
I was thinking about maybe R. Kelly's Dedicated To My Favorite Girl or Wind Beneath My Wings...I want something different because FH mother is deceased so only my grandmother and mother will be escorted in
We're using Hero by Mariah Carey. FH parents and grandparents are deceased so his aunts will be entering with white roses during this part. We're calling it "Entrance of Parents and Honored Guests."
"When you've been blessed" by Patti Labelle will be the song for the parents enterence.
Love lights even the darkest of paths.
What Fire doesn't destroy, only makes stronger.
Even when you don't know; God knows. I will be still and let Him do His thing.
Alone in the world; but always in the company of the Lord.
FH and I are using "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler for the Parents' entrance. I'm not really sure what you should do. There aren't too many songs that could be use for mother's entrance in a wedding.

hmmmmmm I like that idea, I have absolutely no clue what song i'm using

I chose it to convey the message of what they have done (and still are doing) and what I will do - pass it on; because I am blessed!

Okay, I was totally coo-coo that day. My & FH's mom are coming down the aisle to "Spend My Life With You" Eric Benet and Tamia and FH's & I recessional is going to pick up where the song left off. You know like, they gave birth to us (the beginning) and giving us away (the end - well really not the end, but you know what I mean).
ladies, any ideas of a nice song for my mom-besides Boyz to Men-MAMA???
That's the best song I can think of. The parents and grandparents in my wedding will be escorted out to stevie wonders- ribbons in the sky.

Good question. I want to use something else besides "Mama" as well. It seems like everyone uses it at a wedding.
Born Blessed!
I thought about Hero also...FH, pastor & BM are coming in off of Sadie and he is going to lay a red rose in the pew 4 his mother

Real love requires a minimum of emotion and a maximum of the will - Bishop Keith W. Reed, Sr.
