So how is everyone doing with the weight loss?
I was thinking of starting a weekly weigh in or/progrss chart ...just something to help motivate

Re: Weight Loss.....R U Trying?

I lost 14 lbs, but now I'm a little peeved b/c I don't think I look "fine" in my dress anymore! It looks like some of my curves disappeared. :-(

What was your target? Girl I was wishing I was your size in the 1st fitting and was confused when you said you wanted to lose a few more pounds. And don't worry - you still look stunning in that mermaid!

I agree, Bama. You look great in that gown. I don't see why you were trying to lose weight.

Re: Weight Loss.....R U Trying?

I just joined the 50 million pound challenge to lose the remainder of my weight. I hadn't even heard of it until I joined this site, so thanks all of you for putting it out there. I just need something that will help me stay focused with school and everything, so I look forward to trying this out.

Re: Weight Loss.....R U Trying?

i have alot of exams and papers and projects this month plus clinicals and trying to squeeze a day or two of work in every now and then, so i've decided to just hit the gym again in october at least twice a week and just cut down on my eating for the rest of this month. i'm also thinking about cheating a little and getting a body wrap the morning of the wedding. has anyone ever had one?

Re: Weight Loss.....R U Trying?

[quote="2bmrspotts"]...For the past few monthes I have ben steadily gaining weight due to hormone therarpy treatments....I was a size nine last summer. Now I'm a 14! My whole life I was a 14 but when I moved out my moms house, and into my apartment the weight just dropped off. The neighboor hood I lived in had everything I needed within one to 3 miles. So I just walked the weight off and really wasn't trying to.

But it all started to come back when I moved back home last October. It's not a bad neighborhood but not somewhere you'd want to be just walking around. There are no sidewalks and cars and motorcycles just fly around. Then last march I was diagnosed with endometriosis....The only treatment for it besideds a complete hysterectomy is birthcontrol. When I was previously on bc I gained weight and hated it. But what else could I do but take it....

This past month I have cringed everytime I've seen my reflection. FH still thinks I'm sexy but it doesn't matter if I hate how I look...

SO I've resolved to start dieting and I'm going to buy a treadmill as soon as my money's together. I'm with you all the way. I can't look like this anymore and I can't bear the thought of having wedding pictures like this. I've made FH delete several pictures and scenes from the documentry because of how I look. I just can't stand it.

Abeni, I had problems with endo alsoa and wound up getting the hystie which was fine because I was 42, daughter was grown and I had no desire to have more children. Either way, it causes you to gain weight. A hystie can cause abdominal weight gain which is what I'm struggling with. I started a diet and exercise program in April and have lost 25 lbs and 2 dress sizes! I've gone from a size 22 to a 20 and I plan to and will take my bridal stroll in a 16 which my size before I had my daughter. I've always been thick and I'm comfortable with it because I wasn't a fat 16 but a curvy, voluptuous 16. Like your FH mine also thinks I'm still sexy and calls me "Ms.Sexy" which makes me giggle! Still got it at 46 I guess! I've also signed up to participate in the 50 Milllion Pound Challenge that State Farm is sponsoring. If you'd like to look into that click:www.50millionpounds.com

Renee...several of us are doing the 50million pound challenge as a group. If you have already joined you are welcome to be a part of our group. We try to motivate each other and send weekly tips. It would be great to have you

Hi ladies. I just joined the 50 million pound challenge. I've joined sexy brides and bridesmaids. Motivating each other I think is the key to weight loss.

Thanks, Future. Well, I weighed 158 when I started, and now I'm at 144. My target was 140, but I decided to stop at where I am now.

Since I have a high metabolism, I'm praying that I don't lose weight. I would hate to have to alter it again.

Re: Weight Loss.....R U Trying?

Hello all,

I'm happy to announce that my total weight loss for the month was 12lbs!!! At first, I was a little disappointed with myself because I wanted to loose 15LBS, but my FH told me that I didn't gain the weight in a month and it will take more than a month to loose it. He was so proud of me. I was treated to a candlelight dinner complete with fruit plate for appetizer and a grilled chicken salad for dinner with a glass of wine. Isn't my baby awesome!!!

girl, you don't know the half of it. I exercise in the morning and at night, plus I only take in 1,000 calorie a day. I'm not setting monthly goals anymore. It drove me crazy (lmao).

Re: Weight Loss.....R U Trying?

reading this topic encouraged me to ask.. see, all sistas have wonderful sugestions to lose the weight.. but my problem is just the opposite. HOW TO GAIN MORE WEIGHT?.. im 165 cms tall and i am only 46 kilograms.. my FH keeps reminding to gain more weight because i am too skinny. everybody said me just to eat and eat and eat. but the problem is, i cant eat. do you sistas believe that i can stay for 2 whole days without eating? i dont feel hungry, and if finally i feel hungry, i need only half plate of my meal and i will be full. i dont like chocolate, cakes, or other sweet foods.. i cant drink water at all, and i will go vommit if i drink water. doctor said somthing is wrong with my acid (whatever it is) in my stomache so it sends the mssg to my brain that i am full (eventough i havent eat anything for the whole long day). doctor gave me medicine and after i took the pills, i ate a lot and gained about 1 kilos per week. but when i reached 50 kilos, i stopped taking the pills, and slowly my weight was losing again. so i got confused. should i take the pills again? im scared over the side effect or if i got addicted or something else. but if i didnt take the pills, i wont be eating at all.. so help me?... :(

Either I will Find a way, or I will MAKE a way!!!

Re: Weight Loss.....R U Trying?

Woe ...is that a blessing or curse ...Im about 60 whole ENTIRE lbs heavier than you (had to do the convertion first), same height ....and I'm not real big eater, most times one meal a day. But I had 3 kids, otherwise I started out about 115 before them weight gainers came along. Question though, what will happen if you do eat, like snack? Maybe you can drink shakes?

Re: Weight Loss.....R U Trying?

Aresthea I had the same issue as far as trying to gain weight. I eat more than anyone believes I can put down though! I have gained 25 lbs since January. It was a combination of things:
1. Less stress since moving into my house and FH moving in. Stress usually causes weight loss.
2. Cooking everyday since FH is there!
3. Starting on the Nuvaring birth control.

Try seeing if vitamins and working out will make you hungry. That worked for me when I was on track back in the day. You may also try protein or wheat germ shakes. Try to workout during any weight gain program or you may end up with weight where you don't want it!

Re: Weight Loss.....R U Trying?

uhm, i dont know what will happen if i eat.. once, i tried to see how far can i go, so i didnt eat anything for about 2 days and i didnt get hungry at all, and when i was on the way for the 3rd day, my mom found out and she broke the hell out of me. anyway, 2 days without real meal (i took only one apple in a day) i found my self not hungry at all, well, a little bit hungry, but i only took few spoons of rice and i felt as if i had eaten 5 plates or more.

following the advises (thank you so much!) i will take the wheat shake and vitamins. i thought vitamins only work to make us stay fit, but well i will give it a try..

Either I will Find a way, or I will MAKE a way!!!

Good idea, KeepUp. Aresthea, I was taking Amino Acids earlier this year and I gained 20 lbs in 4 months. (I'm sorry, I'll have to convert that later). It stimulates your appetite plus it's a product that body builders and athletes use. I used "Amino Fuel for Mass" by Twin Lab. You take 3 tablespoons of this everyday (it tastes like frozen orange juice) and you'll see better results if you exercise. Try it! Good Luck!
