"To be a christian without prayer is no more possible than being alive without breathing" - Dr King Jr
Absolutely! Not because I'm a rude person or anything. Only because I am HORRIBLE under stress. And my BP already say I tend to be "Bridezilla-ish" at times. But, it's purely because I'm under stress. I'm normally one of the sweetest persons you'd ever meet UNLESS you cross me!
Just tell your coordinator what you don't want to deal with, and let her handle everything that day. Do not ask the following questions:
1. What time is it?
AND
2. Is such and such (i.e. the musican, photographer, limo, etc, etc)here yet? (You can do absolutely nothing about that and stressing fussing, and all that will change nothing)
Things run a lot smoother when we realize that...But it can only happen for you if you decide to give in to the moment. Please ladies, do not spend most of the pre-wedding time fussing, stressing, arguing, yelling, because you are losing out on time you could be laughing, praying, primping, being catered to, etc....We spent most of the morning playing around with make-up and laughing, so we didn't know the musician was a little late, and I'm glad because one thing is for sure....when the bride walks in, THEN the shows starts...whatever happens before then has nothing to do with you:)
i really don't know. i went from being care free and happy to being a real witch to everyone, crying, yelling and crying some more and yelling some more. i was trying to make everybody else happy and forgot what the day is really all about. but now i'm back, and i realize that the wedding is just a ceremony, the marriage is what is important.
Don't feel bad. I'm sure some of the other sistas on the site can relate to that. Sit back and put it in the hands of God and everything will work out. :-)
I agree Platinum. But I feeling like I'm turning into one with all my drama, but how about I am going to turn that around put it in god's hands and relax.
i know GOD brought us together so it's gonna be a beautiful day!! my stress level is way down, i can sleep now and when i think about my wedding day now, i don't think about the colors or the flowers or the reception food, i just think about looking down that aisle at my groom! i know it will be wonderful!!

way to go! when it is all over you won't remember any of the stress-just all the good things...
Sometimes I'm an emotional wreck about the wedding planning so at this point I'm not even trying to worry about the details. It's like everytime I start thinking about colors or flowers the stress comes right on!
I agree completely with what you and the sisters said. It's not the details that are important. It's the celebration of God bringing us together.
Am I worrying about becoming a bridezilla...no. I haven't done any wedding planning in about a month because I've been dealing with familial stress about the wedding, and FH and I just decided to have a civil ceremony and a week later we did it. So us already being married just allows us to take a different approach to the ceremony we're having in July. I'm not gonna get all wired and crazy about it because I already have what I want and if it all gets too stressful I can say to heck with the wedding and being a bridezilla.
Sorry for telling you guys my whole life story in this post :)
Question...Do you think you will turn into one?

Only if FH isn't at the altar, everything else is secondary!

LIKE YOU SAID IT IS THE MARRIAGE THAT COUNTS NOT THE WEDDING CEREMONY..
As Fiviel said in Amercain tail " hope for the best and work for the rest."
Who wants to be stressed on their wedding day?

It's the stress that brings out the "Bridezilla" in some of us. I don't think I will turn into one. I'm pretty even-tempered.
