Hey ladies, sorry I have been off for while I have been putting out forest fires. I will start with the hotel...
Two weeks ago...Well apparently the hotel decided that our money wasn't good enough and gave our hotel block to a convention. Needless to say I was not happy and bridezilla came out and momzilla took a trip down to the hotel to see for herself. It took a week, numerous phone calls to the corporate office and several emails, but it has been corrected.
Last week... I get an email from my brother that the place where will be honeymooing is on FIRE!!!! Well not the apartments themselves, but everything around them. We are going to the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Needless to say with three weeks left, that pushed me over the edge.
Today... I found out that my great uncle is in the process of dying and his wife has chosen to take care of him herself instead of having hospice come in. Needless to say, I am very sad. He and his wife are known in saint louis as 'The Jeffersons'. They are the founders of Slaughter Cleaners.
I know this is just the devil messing with my head and making things hard, but I am on the edge and ready to fall off! I want to go to STL but can't due to finances... Please pray for me and my family.

Glad everything worked out with the hotel. As ffar as the fire, if it was a brush fire they are common to the area and should be OK by the time you arrive.
Well its a bit bigger than that. Last week they were evacuating the island. Apparently there was a disgruntled forest worker there and that was his way for revenge. 11,000 evacuated so far and 6k acres burned so far. Oh, wow! Ok, that's a little different to say the least! Will you be able to postpone your HM? Since the fires aren't under control yet this may be your only option other then going somewhere else. Remember the important thing is that you'll be a MRS.

B2B did you get travelers insurance? Did you book thru an agency even online offers rebates and or accomadations for things like this. Have someone maybe your mom or a sister look into it for you while you handle everything else.

The honeymoon except for aairfare was a gift from my brother and his wife through their timeshare. Since he lives in Honolulu, he is on my list to call tonight after I get home. I will keep you updated on this one.
