I just joined the site today and started browsing the boards and am in awe of how sweet and helpful you are to each other.
My FH currently live in Philly but are planning a very big (possibly 400 guestcount) August wedding in my hometown of Huntington, WV.
I am just in the beginning stages of planning my wedding but I know next August will be here before I know it. I am excited to be a part of the board.

Welcome, Ivy Princess. I'm an August 08 bride, too so we're in the same boat. We Vibrides are here for whatever you need and we never (neh-vuh) get tired of hearing about your wedding plans. So pull up a keyboard and get to crackin. Oh, have you picked a date in August? We said the 2nd but might push it back to later in the month.
I'm thinking August 8th or 16th. I would like to have my reception on a boat so I want the weather to be nice and by that time WV cools off most of the time

Welcome IvyPrincess. Glad to have you here.

Welcome and Congrats. The boat ideas for a reception is very nice. I wanted to do the samething, however I have guest who dont know who to tell time, and being that my wedding is on a Friday evening it will be lots of traffic.

That is the fantastic thing about WV, traffic as we know it in the city virtually doesn't exist. I'm really thinking of doing a brunch reception and doing the wedding early. Is 10am too early for a wedding to start? If its that early we could probably be on the boat by 12:30pm (that's if I find a boat to do it on, if not I'll do it at a Country Club I suppose)

Please everything u need and more is at your finger tips.
Happy hunting.
Have you --- yet?
Picked your colors
Started your guest list
Picked your attendants
Choosen a theme
Picked a place to have the ceremony
Choosen a back up to the boat for the reception?
Started saving and looking online for the discounts?
Just to name a few?
Introducng the new Mrs. Durrant!!!
Colors - Pink with green accents\\
Guest list - started and daily expanding, lol
Attendants - mine are chosen and have agreed upon a dress
Theme - relaxed formal, brunch reception, springy, lots of flowers etc.
Ceremony location - I would like to use my home church, however I'm not sure it will be large enough, if not we can have the ceremony at the rose garden at the park or there is a larger church downtown and my pastor at home has a good relationship with their pastor so I'm sure he wouldn't charge us too much.
Reception location - a bit sticky due to the large guest list, but if the boat falls through, my parents are members of a country club and we can have the reception there. I would also go with the brunch theme.
Savings - that I haven't done yet, I have to admit I am my daddy's only daughter and he has agreed to foot the bill, but I do want to look for discounts, I don't want him to have to pay more than he has to.
I have started saving for the honeymoon though.
Dang maybe I'm further along than I thought
