Sad News: Jennifer Hudson's Family

This is such a sad story. Losing a mother and brother in such a tragic way so unimaginable. Praying Jennifers faith will pull her through this and that her nephew will be returned safely.

I was so shocked when I heard the story for the first time. I mean, how sad is that? I've been keeping vigil on the news in order to have some update on Jennifer's nephew. I mean can you imagine a phone call like that? To be told that your mother, brother have been so brutally murdered and that your nephew is still missing? Wow, my heart and prayers go out to her and her sister.

I was so shocked when I heard the news - this is the most devestating thing anyone can hear. Losing your mother and brother and your nephew is missing too? How could anyone be so cold hearted as to destroy a family in this way?

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jennifer, her sister and the rest of the Hudson family and I pray they find her nephew safe and sound soon.

This breaks my heart! I adore Jennifer Hudson and I sometimes look for her style as one of many inspirations for my wedding. Yes, we can only pray that her nephew is alive. She has my deepest sympathy and may God give her the strength to live through this.

I love Jennifer Hudson also! Divas we have to keep her and her family in prayer! My heart truly goes out to them.

I can't believe people can be so cruel in the world today, just terrible.

nooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew it was hard enough dealing with the death of her mother and brother, but her nephew too?!?!?! I pray that this is incorrect reporting info from CNN>> :(

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!! I just went to CNN's site and apparently it is true...they found the body of her nephew...ladies, please pray for comfort and peace for this family... :(

Yes unfortunately it is true. The SUV with the boy's body was found across the street from my tailor's house.

My God!!! How much pain can she and her sister endure? What kind of a monster did this?

This is such a sick sick world....That news anchor who was beaten so badly last week died over the weekend too! So its like tragedy after tragedy!

I am so disturbed by this. I think that we as a people just need to be in prayer. Its the little GOOD here & there we see in this world that makes me understand why God is still letting us live. Cause it could certainly be the other way around. When I hear of these things it makes me forget about that little bit of Good. To stay focused I have to pull the Good in this world out of the bad-but its hard.

There is a movement of people who CHOOSE to be childless because of things like this. I used to think these people were so selfish. But oftentimes I can see their sentiment. I mean, who would want to go through the joys of birth only to know that 7 or 20 something years later you would be burying that same angel your labored over?!!?! This is so sick. I am glad everyone doesn't feel like that because we would suffer from zero-population growth. But I do wonder sometimes. How can anyone...anyone--other than through faith & the grace of God--go through losing their child? Especially in such a gruesome way?!?!

OMG! I absolutely hated to hear this!! I will definitely be praying for her and her family. This was a senseless act of violence. No one deserves this type of hurt or pain. I feel that the man responsible will get just what he deserves. God will indeed carry Jennifer and the rest of the family through this.....Oh lord have mercy!!!!!

How horrible! You just never know what life has in store for you everyday. We should pray that our own families stay safe and thank God for our blessings.

I am such a big fan of hers. . It is just sp hard to beloeve that something so evil could happen to anyone.

I can say from first hand experience, burying a child is the hardest thing to ever have to do....it is truly only thru FAITH and GRACE that you can get thru something like this...my son died unexpectedly and it totally numbs you but to add the gruesome circumstances to the death is just unimaginable for this mother and father. I pray for this family because this is something that will totally change their lives.

I had an uncle, aunt, and 3 cousins all die in a car accident and my grandmother had to go and identify the bodies...she was never the same...

I agree this is truly horrible. That whole family is in my prayers. this is so sad.

My heart is so heavy right now for this family. Not sure what was cause of Julian's death but I pray he wasn't made to suffer. May each of them rest in peace.

It's hard to deal with. When your child is missing your mind is flooded with thoughts of evils being done to them. When your child's life is stolen your heart aches forever. I pray both Julia and Jennifer can recover from this tragedy, and that the animal that did this is dealt with.

I am so sad to hear of Jennifer losing so much family at one time.

Please forgive me for thinking this but I am very disturbed about her brother in-laws criminal history. Attempted murder? 7 years in prison? Even thought he might might not be the killer, what was her sister thinking? I feel we, in the African American community are far too forgiving to brothers like this. Yes he deserves a chance, but come on. He's only been out of prison for two years and could not have been that productive considering that he was living with Jennifier's family. A lot of the suffering we go through in our community is because of who we choose to associate with. I beleive that if we distance ourselves from losers like him we would be better off. Besides, the social pressure to change might have a positive effect.
