disappointed by this:
Lyfe Jennings Facing Gun Charges After Chase With Police
Singer reportedly fired gun in the air and tried to flee.
By Gil Kaufman
R&B singer Lyfe Jennings was arrested in Smyrna, Georgia, on Sunday night after police said he fired a gun in the air and attempted to evade arrest by leading them on a high-speed car chase. He was booked on misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass, discharging a firearm near a public highway and refusal to take a DUI test, as well as two felony counts of attempting to elude and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Jennings, 35, (born Chester Jennings) was attempting to locate the mother of his children, Joy Pound, when he allegedly kicked in the door of a house in Smyrna and later fired a gun in the street. Corporal Milton Lane of the Smyrna Police Department told MTV News that when police arrived on the scene to respond to the shots fired in what they believed was a domestic dispute, they witnessed a red 2005 Corvette leaving the address.
A high-speed pursuit ensued, and Jennings was apprehended after he crashed the car. Once he was stopped, the warrant in the case said he refused a field sobriety test and police smelled "a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage" coming from his mouth. TMZ has posted a copy of the arrest report.
Jennings posted $50,000 bond on Monday night. At press time, a spokesperson at the singer's label had no comment on the incident.
Before launching his music career, Jennings began a 10-year prison sentence on a felony arson charge in 1992 at age 19. Shortly after his release, he made a name for himself by winning the amateur contest at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, and released his first album, Lyfe 268-192, in 2004.

There are only a few artists that I can say I can really "vibe" with and Lyfe Jennings is one of the few. Especially on his first album with songs like "Cry" and "Must Be Nice". I had even given thought to incorporating "Must be Nice" in my wedding somehow. I'm soo disappointed. After spending 10 years in prison, getting so caught up that you jeopardize your freedom. It's Sad. My DH be talking reckless about his baby mommas sometimes and I have to keep reminding him that God is going to work it all out. You just have to leave whatever situation in his hands.

Unbelievable... Its just not worth it. I'm so sure he totally regrets his behavior now.

Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
heard about this too! soooooooo sad.... :(
Lyfe is my boy!!!!! I love his music!!!!!
Listening to the lyrics of his songs he really seemed to have his head on straight. It just goes to show how a decision made in the heat of the moment can cost you everything. I feel bad for him and even worse for his kids.

Our emotions can make us do some crazy things.
Living my life like it's GOLDEN!!
I adore his music, but this kind of thing seem to always happen to our brothers and sisters. After spending 10years behind bars, you come out and God blessed you with a different type of life. There comes a time when you must surround yourself with a better group of people. I'm pretty sure if he was surrounded with people that prays instead of talking smack, it would've turned out differently for him. As hard as it is to ignore an ex who is acting a fool, sometimes you just have to get down on your knees for that person and let God handle it his way, his time. Now, the situation is worse and you know he's going to do some time for the gun charge and everything. It's so not worth it.
Wow, thats crazy.
