Since Barnett2B just mail her invites out I thought I'd share a trick I used when planning my seating chart. You will find your seating chart one of your biggest nightmares but this will help make it a little easier. For this tip you will need large index cards and clothes pins. One index card per table and one clothes pin per guest/couple.
First along the border of each index card place a "X" for each seat at that table. If the table seats 10, then you will have ten X's along the border of index card. On each clothes pin write the name of a guest. Once you get the majority of your replies start clipping the clothespins to the x spots on the index card. This will help you quickly see where seats are available and to easily move people around if needed with out a bunch of erasing.
Once you have all your "x's" covered, then give your index card table numbers. Hopefully your reception venue provided you with a layout of how table are situated in the room so you can lay your index cards out on floor the same way tables are in room.
This tip really gives you a visual of who is sitting to close to who or who you would like sitting closer. Gives an aerial view of things. Hope this helps someone, it did wonders for me.
I even attached guests dinner choice to their pin so it was easy to see that table 5 has 5 chicken, 2 beef and 3 fish.

Good looking out pamcrow!
WOW! aren't you Mrs. organized?!?
I was grappling with that...I always seem to do things the hard way. Good look.
Thanks for the advice!
No problem ladies. Trust me, me & organized are never in the same sentence. I amazed myself when I came up with this idea. I think it was my creative side that thought of this.

I will be sure to write down this idea.
