Where do I start???

I have some of the basic things, I think, but I'm REALLY becoming "overwhelmed"! I have a friend that is an actual wedding coordinator, but (to me) isn't very helpful. My colors are celedon and tangerine. I'm getting married Sept. 10, 2005. I have the church, the reception hall ($7,000... and I get heartburn everytime I think about that cost!), we're in the air about the honeymoon destination, I have the Bridesmaid Dresses picked out and the groomsmen's vests.

You would think that I have it all together, huh? I don't know what prices are "good" prices and we have a $15,000 budget... we're actually down to $5,500 and I swear I'm gonna lose it if things aren't PERFECT or damn near close to it! HELP!!!! Where do I start??!!! How can I exhale???!!

Just breathe. You said you got a lot done. WHat else do you have to do? did you hire a band? $15,000 goes by really fast. Make sure you buy with a credit card or checks. Easier to see where your money is going that way.

Girl,
Unless you cut it now, your out of money!!(I feel for ya already).
I want to know what is included in your reception package and # of guest, you are getting for 7 grand!(it is not too late to neogicate with them a lower price) Is the person who is in your wedding planner a friend who's doing this as a favor or apart of the wedding party? Is the cost of living expensive in your part of the country?
I suggest you start with some one who can dedicate time and assist you with some financial direction. You have not began to touch the ice girlfriend. You are stressed and you havent even got to the addressing of the invatations yet!( in which by the way, did you include the price of postage in your budget? tack on about 250.00...yikes)First thing that needs to be done is we need to get you calm and organized. Right now, your jumping across the board to outfits and things down thi list while we need to take care of some other no so fun stuff first. The last wedding I coordinated budget was 15 grand. The est attendance was 150 people. They ran out of money at the end.The only way they were able to make it the final step, my florist let them do a payment plan.It sounds like your having a big wedding. Give me more details...

Maybe you should check out more places to have your reception. Do not just focus around one area. You could even find creative places to have your reception. $7,000 is a bit high for a reception that is going to last for a few hours.
