I need suggests on wedding colors. I started out with wanting an afrocentric wedding using the colors of purple, gold and ivory. I thought I was set on that until I went to Walmart today and saw a bouquet of flowers using the colors of deep plum, light purple, teal blue/green and silver balls for accents. I absolutely loved that arrangement. The trouble is, I don't know which colors to pick for the bridesmaids dresses and then for the decorations in the church. Can anyone help? My wedding with be held in the month of June.
Also, the carpet in my church is blood red :)

You are so SMART to choose your wedding colors from a brida bouquet. It is one of the very best ways to find inspiration. The red carpet will do amazing things with a deep purple dress! I would not use an aisle runner and just sprinkle rose petals at the brides feet. Use silver accents throughout the ceremony and the reception so that it all ties in. The more sublte shades in your bouquet will stand out as ultra feminine and innocent. Those colors are more fall or winter colors though, but will be awesome at an evening wedding. If you are having a day wedding, consider using lighter mauve or even the teal as the bridesmaids colors to lighten up the event.
