I need some advice, I'm going insane trying to figure out the music for the wedding ceremony... any suggestions? We are getting married in a church that allows secular music so that helps but I can't think of any songs ... Please help!

Oh Girl! Anything by Enya! Something about that music makes people cry and their hearts open up! I just really love it. I went to one of my bride's wedding and she came down the aisle to it. It made my throat close up! She was so beautiful! Consider looking at this article: ceremony music.

What about Stevie Wonder-Ribbon in the Sky? Another great song that I am thinking about using is You and I by O'Bryan.

The first night my fiance kissed me, the song "Share My World" by Dru Hill was playing in the background. He wants to use that song as the theme for our wedding. I want to use "A Touch of Heaven" as the theme. Any suggestions?

See I feel you should find music that means something to you and your fiance. Something that when it's played you and him could look in each others eyes and in the second you both are on the same page. Also girl have you heard the Fantasia CD girls it's off the chain. IF you want to go the gospel way you must get the KIKI CD her song "You Don't Know," girl that will have you going down the aisle with the holy spirit on your arm instead of you father.

After my first response was sent- guess what came on the radio... Teddy Pendagrass "Latest and Greatest Inspiration". It was used in the movie The Wood too. I think that is such a pretty song.

Re: Wedding Music

I am using Endless Love (Two hearts that beat as one) for my recessional.
I believe in You and Me for bridal party march
My Love Sweet, Sweet Love by Patti Labelle possible bridal procession
Give us This Day( instead of Lord's Prayer) lighting of unity candle
Musical Prelude( seating of parents and special guest and lighting of candles): Center of My Joy, Order my Steps, Flesh of my Flesh.

Other songs I'v heard at weddings: "Inseperable", "You are so Beautiful" by Babyface, "Here and Now"
Hope This helps!

How about choosing from Vannessa Williams album, Everlasting Love. The songs are so beautiful. Or Heart Beats: Now & Forever - Timeless Wedding Songs, it has Etta James' At Last on it. Not a dry eye in the church guaranteed if you walk down the aisle to THAT!

Hi. You can go to a record store and check out the Body and Soul CDs. There's a lot of songs on there that may strike a nerve. When you feel that something special in your heart after you hear the song that's it. Good luck.

Yes Teresa, that's the order everyone will come out. The only exception will be that as I get ready to dance down the aisle, my two Ladies-In-Waiting will be walking a few steps behind me in order to keep my gown straight.

Hey Bridal Divas! I'm new to the site and I know that I'm def going to incorporate "From this Moment On" by Shania Twain into my ceremony. My Godsister had that song in her wedding and I have been obsessed with it ever since. I would get someone else to sing it to give it an extra flare!

Yall should also check out the Album "With This Ring... Forever I Will". You can listen at snippets of the songs at Bestbuy.com. This entire CD is about to have me in tears. The songs are very melodic and have that wedding vibe. They seem more personal then songs that people have heard before. Def check it out!

Re: Wedding Music

I'm not sure if you guys have heard of this song before, but its beautiful, My Last First Kiss by Tamia

Lead In ]
Can I talk to you for a second
I just have a few things I wanna tell you
Don't be nervous

[ Verse 1 ]
When it comes to you I wouldn't change a thing
I wouldn't even change the
things I could change
Cause baby your perfect, perfect to me
Simply means that you are perfect for me
Your the answer to a prayer I haven't prayed
Gotta me ready to settle down
I think I wanna say, I'm
falling in love with you
I'm so feeling all of this
Baby I'm praying that your.......

[ Chorus ]
My last first kiss
Baby want you be my last time kissing somebody
For the very first time
All my ladies say la la la la la
Our first time making love
Baby I pray that this is the last time that I
Make love to for the very first time
My ladies say la la la la la

[ Verse 2 ]
[ Lyrics found at www.mp3lyrics.org/McKA ]
Feel what I'm saying I hope that your the last
Somebody to take me home to
meet his mom and dad
I hope that it's the last first
Time I say I love you
Hope that it's the last first
Time you say you love me too
Don't wanna ever kiss and say goodbye
If you just wanna kick it
Then your wasting my time
Cause my plan is to not just
have a hit and quit
My plan is to make you........

[ Chorus ]
My last first kiss
Baby want you be my last time kissing somebody
For the very first time
All my ladies say la la la la la
Our first time making love
Baby I pray that this is the last time that I
Make love to for the very first time
All my ladies say la la la la la

[ Bridge ]
The first time I kissed you
I just knew it felt right
Then when I'm with you, I'm walking cloud nine
Just being with you makes my whole life shine
Whenever I'm with you, whenever I kiss you
The first time I kissed you
I just knew it felt right
Then when I'm with you, I'm walking cloud nine
Just being with you makes my whole life shine
Whenever I'm with you........

[ Repeat Chorus 3 times ]

Re: Wedding Music

I love this song by Chrisette Michele "Your Joy"
It's a jazzy song..not sure if thats what you are looking for. But the words are beautiful.

Walked down the sidewalk
Staring at your feet
Wishing my steps were longer
So by your sides I could keep

Hold your hand much bigger
Never wanted mine to grow
So I could always feel perfect
Inside your palms just so

No one loves me just like you do
No one knows me just like you do
No one can compare to way my eyes fit in yours
You'll always be my father
And I'll always be your joy

Laid me on your belly
Nights when mama wasn't home
Lightning made me shiver
And you never let me feel alone

I tried to match your breathing
Beating my little heart against yours
Perfect were the nights we were sleeping
I never want to end what we are

'Cause No one loves me just like you do
And no one knows me just like you do
No one can compare to the way my eyes fit in yours
You'll always be my father
And I'll always be your joy

One day he'll come on bended knee
And ask my love away from thee
And when I give my love to him
He'll always have a place within
One day he'll come on bended knee
And ask my love away from thee
And when I give my love to him
He'll always have a place within

No one loves me just like you do
No one knows me just like you do
No one can compare to the way my eyes fit in yours
You'll always be my father
And I'll always be your joy.
