You and I are in the same ship. I am havin the same problem. The best thing that I could come up with is finding the main color that you want in the wedding and work from that. I chose purple. That is on of the african royalty colors. then I'm adding kente cloth to the flowers base. that's to tie in with the original theme. Hope this helps a little.

Pretty much ANY Bridesmaid Dresses will work as long as it's not themeatic, like a Gone With The Wind gown. You can keep it simple and have them all wear one color but carry ankhs in their hands, a calla lilly or even a palm frond wrapped in bridal kente. Don't stress over it. Hey Rosetta, I've just checked out the link for the women's suits and got some ideas for my moms dress. We were totally at a loss. Thanks for the information!

no prob. Those suits are BAAAAD! The say "Society Girl" with every line. They were Oprah's Top Pick and she wears them herself. There is also a line by Vicki Winans.

Just saw this link and I checked out the suits....oh they are off the chain...I especially love the one Ms. Winans is wearing - I think it is a tweed print in multi color....don't like the hat but I love the suit...oh and the prices...something like that over her can go for an easy $450.00-500.00

Those suits rock for easter too. I only have one, and I can only wear it a couple more times before people think it is the only suit I own! lol But I love it so much.

I want that ring so bad to comemorate the birth of my daughter. I was hinting to my hubby. But I didn't get it on my birthday! But he is forgiven. lol. He does keep me iced up! But I do miss yor flag Charley.

I know what you mean by wearing something too often....I have that same problem, especially when it is a comfortable piece, but hey when you hang up that suit up for the last time send it to me :-)...I miss my flag too but all the new avatars are fascinating..and seeing that we can't have 2, I just feel like trying each one on..so that's what I am doing here. Girl you know Eloi will get you that ring...he din't buy it cause he knew you would be expecting it.....but you will get it...just not when you realize it.
