Hello all,
I'm very new to this whole bridal thing and would like some help. My fiance and I plan on gettin married next year, but the only problem we have is that neither of us has informed anyone because we dont know where to start. We are both young, I'm 18, he's 21 and I will be starting college in fall 2006. I would just like to know how to begin planning a wedding on limited funds (our own) and such short time? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Where to Start?
Hello all,
I'm very new to this whole bridal thing and would like some help. Thanks.
Hi, you can start by informing your loved ones. You'd be surprised at how much they know and who they might know.
One thing that helped me get a jump start was going to Barnes and Noble bookstore and browsing through the "Wedding" books. I was able to take my time, scan over many books, take notes, write down names of some I was really inerested in then buying one,two or more. I advise buying the:
Easy Wedding Planning Plus: The Most Comprehensive and Easy to Use Wedding Planner. Another thing you can do is go on line and search Wedding Favors then you'll see many other wedding websites. You can buy Bridal Magazines also.
Good luck.

Hi PYT2006,
It may be a wise move to inform your loved ones. They may be willing to help out more than you think. Also go online, request free samples. Visiting Vibride.com is also a great start. I am also new to this whole bridal thing, but I've received very useful information, just from reading the articles and asking questions. It may also give you ideas as to what kind of wedding you may want to have. The first thing I would suggest is setting a budget, and sticking too it -- you will see the rest will fall into place. I wish you and your fiance lots of success!
