Does anyone have suggestions as to how to make the most of a smaller wedding. We are looking to have about 40 guests ONLY because of required travel. Is there a way to keep everything live and fun even with a small group.
Any suggestions on seating arrangements? (for the ceremony and reception)

I highly recommend using a museum, small hotel ballroom, or art gallery.

Do consider an Aquarium setting. You can do large banquet type tables for a formal sit down dinner which wiuld be a nightmare for a larger group. Oh and you can upgrade the food as well i. e., caviar puffs rather than chicken fingers. Keep your guests close together and it will create an intimate feeling among your guests. ALso do away with a head table and sit among your guests. I love small weddings.
I just came from a beautiful one where the groom prepared a five course meal for all 75 of us! A great touch. ANd he and the bride hand wrote the menus themselves. Lots of personal toches were apparent that night. Very classy and romantic garden wedding at St. Georges Botanical Garden, St. Croix.

Hi Eternallysacred, I too am having a small wedding and reception, my fiance and I have opted to host our wedding at a museum. QueenAkasha suggests this as well. Check it out, the museum we are using was very reasonably priced.
