Reflections on the Big Day

Now that it is over the weight of planning the wedding has lifted and I am left feeling very satisfied. My now husband and I set a budget of 10,000 for everything not including our attire and the entire event was lovely. I loved how the florist made my sunset color themed wedding come alive. The arrangements were so bright and beautiful it hurt to throw them away two days later but there was no room for the two car road trip we had to make back home. Sigh. I saved a few for a bouquet that I placed in my living room so I could enjoy it just a little longer. The pictures won't be in for about 3 weeks, but I know they are going to be great.

Our wedding was outdoors at the Oasis at Medina Lake, Mico, Texas and the view was breath taking. Insects were not at all the problem that I anitcipated and myself and many others made it through the night without any bites. All our gowns were designed by Therez Fleetwood and were the talk of the party along with the decor that I put together all by myself.

Even the wedding cake was delicious. All that is left is our top layer. We only had 35 guest but they devoured a cake made for 80. Our compliments go out to the Baker. SMILE

Now I know what it is to be a satisfied bride. We could not honeymoon though so we treated out entire wedding party and their guest plus our 20-something relatives to join us at Six Flags Fiesta Amusement Park. We all had so much fun and were sorry for the day to end. It is now late into the evening and everyone's flights should have landed without delay. I so appreciate all those who flew the extra miles to partake in our celebration.

Thanks for reading these words of happiness from an overjoyed Bride. All the input from the vibride chat rooms helped a great deal.
