Office Shower

My supervisor is throwing me an office shower in 2 weeks. Do I give each person an individual thank you note for attending and/giving me a gift or do I send the entire office one thank you note. Also do I give the hostess a gift????

Re: Office Shower

Yes, yes and YES! LOL. You should send a public thank you to the entire office and private thank yous to those that give gifts. They all may not! A personalized note is just the best way to show appreciation for the gift. The hostess should get not only a thank you, but a small gift. Nothing elaborate but from the heart.

Re: Office Shower

My office shower is on 7/27 and the gift I bought the host arrived today. I think my co-workers are upset that I bought her a gift because I heard that some of my co-workers are purchasing a cake. Do I get them a gift also? My supervisor is the one that is actually throwing the shower, she came up with the whole idea. What do I do???? Help!!! It's a few days away.

Re: Office Shower

I don't know. I already work in an office setting. The supplies are already provided by the company. Thanks, della. But, are there any other ideas? Honestly, I did not want to give a gift. I thought I was suppose to give a small gift to the person who host it; not who helped out. Please clarify. I know it's not a big deal I just want to know the etiquette. Help. Thanks.

Re: Office Shower

give them gift cards: book store, Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret if it's not too many of them, and just put it inside a thank you card.

Re: Office Shower

I would give the ones who contributed to organizing the shower each a sweet smelling candle in a pretty little gift bag with a thank you note inside. You can get the gift bags from the dollar store. Definitely give everyone else who gave you a gift a thankyou note. Be sure to write a personal message inside each note thanking them for what they specifically gave you:)
