Rude?

I found this really pretty conservatory that I'd like to have my ceremony atheres a link, but the thing is all my guests would have to stand except 10 of them because of the way it's set up. do you think that would be rude to have my guests to stand through my ceremony?

That place is fantastic!! And based on the way they'll have it set up, your guest will be too blown away by the beauty of it all. Are you doing the candlelight ceremony?

Wow girl that place is great! I don't think anyone would mind at all. What is the reception site like?

Re: Rude?

The place is breathe-taking and I think your guest will be wowed (especially if they've not been there before).....but it will also depend on how long your ceremony is. Remember while it pays to be beautiful in our 3-6' heels...no one enjoys standing in them for hours and if you are having HIGH MASS that is way too long to ask people to stand up.

Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.

Re: Rude?

This place is breathtaking!! I would have to agree with CharlotteModebe, depending on how long people are going to be standing could be an issue. If you are having many elderly people attending, they may not be able to stand for long periods of time and you would not have any where for them to be seated. Besides elderly people, there are those that for whatever reason are not physically able to stand for a long period of time. Granted if the ceremony starts on time and there is not alot of extras going on during the ceremony, you may have folks standing for at least 20-30 minutes, not counting the fact that you are going to have people that arrive early for the wedding. Some people like to get there at least a half hour before the ceremony so then you are looking at people standing for almost an hour!
Just something to think about.

Let 'em stand! Criminy that place is outstanding! So elegant. Keep your wedding to the minimum out of respect for your guests and seating for the elderly and physically impaired (nancy's bad hip, etc.). I am Episcopalian. 90% of our ceremony was standing the rest kneeling! [lol]

That location is beautiful! I don't think it would be rude at all.

Re: Rude?

That place is gorgeous. I don't think it's rude. If I went to a wedding and I had to stand, I would love the fact that its different. As the host, I would be mindful of how long the ceremony is. If you're having older people, they may not be able to stand for over 10-20 mins. If there's only one or two older ones there, I personally would have chairs or seats set up just for them......just a thought
