Hi Ladies,
I just returned from a wonderful wedding in South Carolina. It was absolutely beautiful. However, during the wedding ceremony, there was an accident. The bride's maids were carrying candles in beautiful decorative glasses. However, one of the bride's maids was standing too close to the person in front of her and her hair went up in flames. I have never seen anything so frightening before. If anyone of you are planning to opt for candles instead of flowers, just be careful.

Oh my goodness. That is horrible. I hope she was okay after that. Thanks for sharing this tip. Sometimes people forget the little things and we should be careful with any kind of candles.
Yes thank God she is ok. She didn't panic. One of the other brides maids patted the fire out with her hands -- luckily she didn't sustain any burns to her hands either. The bride's maid whose hair caught a fire was burned in only one small area -- the middle of her head, since she has long hair she will be able to conceal it. I tell you God was with them, because it could've been a lot worse!

Hey DaughterRhonda, cool aviator :-) I went to a greek wedding before and saw the bride caught a fire like that...wow! while we agree that candles add a little extra romance, they are very dangerous. Please be careful ladies...I love you all and wish only the very best for you. God Bless.

That was so awful! I can't imagine how the bride felt. People have been using candles in weddings since there were candles. Accidents happen. Use the same care as you would using fire in your home. Maybe we should incorporate fire drills when having a candlit ceremony. May seem extreme, but you could be glad you did! Thanks for sharing guys.
