You know, it really depends on you. What are your limitations? Are you comfortable in sheaths, balgowns, a-lines, empire waist, strapless, spaghetti strap, sleeveless? And then there's colors and fabrics. LOL! But don't worry we'll get you through the selection process.
Hello! i found that a great site to found a wedding dress is called Best Buy Bridals. http://www.bestbuybridals.com the dresses are around $195 and the Headpieces and veils around $45 for both. they have dresses ranging in size 4 to 30 and they look really good so check the site and and let me know what you think.

Thanks ladies for your support on this issue. Phenomonique, to answer your question, I am a heavy chested woman w/ big arms. I would love to wear a strapless or a gown with some straps but I feel odd (like everything is hanging out). And then the color issue is, well, a whole other issue. Since my wedding is in Sept of next year, I was thinking of fall colors like burnt orange, yellows, dark reds or pinks. You know, the color of the autumn leaves. So, I don't know. I can tell you this, reading the feedback on this website is really giving me some good ideas. So I'm open to anything anyone has to offer. And Della, I am going to check that site out and get back to you on what I've found. If you run across any good ones, please let a sista know!!!
Lanierh actually September is still a summer month so you may want to reconsider the fall colors. Bright, bold robust colors will be more appropriate for summer....unless that is what your heart desires then you can bend the rules just because you can and its your day. I too am busty with large arms but I think you would not want to draw attention to that, if you wear a strapless gown, you will only draw attention to your bust and arm size and like YOU said....'I feel odd (like everything is hanging out)'...accentuate the positives..do you have a well defined waist line...maybe think about an off-the-shoulder ball gown...again the choice is yours, this is only my suggestion...you still have the final call. I am somewhat of a thick chick. I went to several different bridal stores and tryed on gowns until I found a style that I liked. I then went to David's to see if they had the style that I liked in the color that I wanted. I went with a strapless gown that has an asymetrical waist. I chose to wear ivory because I felt like it complimented my skin tone better. It gave me a certain glow :>) My wedding date is October 1 and my bridesmaids are wearing cranberry and my flowers incorporate fall colors. My family has dark skin and I just think that the red family really looks good on them. When choosing a color make sure that the color compliments your skin tone as well as yor bridemaids. But remember that you may not be able to please them all. Another website to try is bridesave.com. I went there first looking for my bridesmaids dresses but I ordered them from pearlsplace.com. Yes, I'm very interested in this also. I'm in about a size 14-16 so I know the dress needs to be bigger. I'm attracted to the strapless gowns, but I am very heavy up top. What to do????!!!!
you could buy a gown that strap's around your neck and you could still have the strapless dress. or you could get a dress that cross over one shoulder andlets the other should hang off. i have a few pic that show a one shoulder gown ill scan them and post them in about 2 days so be looking for them ok. god bless and good luck on your wedding

Ya'll know that wide smile Whoopi Goldberg has in the color purple........well mines is bigger, wider and brighter than that. I think you can actually see my cavity in the back. That is what that dress is doing to me. OH MY!!!!!!

RE: Dress from Plussizebridal. I am DEFINATLY getting that dress for my daughter (flower girl). I decided on that dress maybe 2 weeks ago. As far as the matching bridal gown, I didn't know you could pick your own color. I thought it only came in the colors that you choose from (drop down menu). I have to check that out.
I have a while to go for my wedding. It's not until Sept of 07. But, I'm planning everything now (I'm an event coordinator). And since I'm not having a coordinator for my own wedding, I'm planning now. I know how the stress level can go up. I'm not getting that dress (the matching bride gown), but my daughter will have the flower girl dress.
Niquey.....! is this body suite something that you would wear under a sleeveless, strapless gown?....I am totally freaked here cus I aint never see nothing like this before, please explain that concept. Thanks

I have a while to go for my wedding. It's not until Sept of 07. But, I'm planning everything now (I'm an event coordinator).
