Wedding favors

Laneirh thanks for the information. I've decided to purchase Tea Bag Verse Cards which can be found at Annswedding.com. Item#: F30370T. The tea cards are $24.95 for 24. It is unique, inexpensive and something that I've never seen done before. I will purchase some herbal tea bags separately (at my local supermarket). I don't have a lot money to work with, but I think that this will be a nice gift for guests. What are some wedding favors you ladies are giving?

we are giving favors for the adults and goodie/wedding survival bags to the kids. Here they are:

Adults ( filled with almond hershey's kisses)

Oh I just love the favors...especially the kiddy bags, nah about the chocolate girl I will eat them right away and the people sitting next to me own. ha!

Thanks Rhonda, our 3 boys are in the wedding and there will probably be 10-15 other kids there as well. The boys are refering to is as "thier" wedding too. So I wanted them to have a special favor.

I think it is really nice that you thought about the children. I hadn't thought about that before. I just love this site!!!!

I thought about the children in my bridal party. Not the children that will be guests at my wedding. That's what I was referring to. I didn't even consider buying gifts for the children who will be guests. Tara made reference to all of the children both bridal party and guests. But thanks to Tara great thinking, I would like to find something for all of the little people as well. I think that is an awesome idea, and I still have a little time to come up with something.

Haaaaa!!! So true! I went to a wedding a few years back and the children were out of control.

And you know what - that is why some people don't like childrne to come to their wedding....it's always one who spoils it for the others...but thiis bag is a good idea.

Tara those are great favors! Where did you find them? I was going to have several tables set aside for the kids with paper liners over the ivory table cloths so they won't get messed up. I was planning to buy about 15 coloring books and activities for them to do at the tables so they won't be running around. However, I think your idea with the goodies in the bag will be better than my original idea of having them placed on the tables. Please let me know where you found them. Thanks

You know, prior to hearing about Tara's suggestion, I have never seen guest children included in the favor decisions. I for one don't want any children running around all over the place. Giving the children fun activities as a wedding favor would help with that.

One of my family members had the labled mini champagne bottles for the adults and mini jelly bean bottles for the kids as favors.

SeptBride, can you refer me to where I can purchase the jelly bean bottles? They are cute! I have a ton of kids coming to the reception as well. Going to throw a bunch of stuff in a basket and wrap it with netting for each of them. This would go great with it.

Well, ladies those goodie bags are just my idea of "damage control". I want to keep the little ones occupied while the adults relax and have fun. I stumbled across them on Michaels.com when i was trying to find a gift bag for the children ( i had already decided to make them a favor) I asked my 13 year old and he "advised" me that this was a good idea.

Our wedding theme is "After All this time, Our Love Still Glows" (candlelight theme) so these are our favors:

I also got the at My Wedding Favors for 95 cents a piece.

Love your theme, the favors are nice too. Oh and the price is definitely right -- LOL!!!

Thanks, yes the price is a little high but i'll do a little searching. I may be able to make them on my own, they look simple enough.

I just got my FH to agree on this, but our favorite cookie is the Chocolate Chip cookies made in the Publix bakery, and we want to order enough so each guest gets 2. Then wrap them in cellophane bags and tie with a tiffany blue ribbon and if my brother the graphic designer can do this-put our wedding logo on stickers and put the sticker on the front of each bag. I don't know how much the stickers will cost but the cookies will be about 36.00 for 300 (150 guests). I still have to price the bags (grease tends to show through the wax bags) and the ribbon-I can get that from a craft store....If I can't get the stickers, I think I can find something with just a G on it for our future last name....Just a thought after FH and I talked last night:)

Here is an online version of some favors I did for 2 of my friends with tight budgets. Its just some hershey's nuggets with Microsoft Word Labels (Avery 5160). I put their Names, the date, and a cute little clip art with wedding bells. It took some time to format it nicely, but you print it out, cut them out and then wrap the chocolate. Wrap 2 chocolates in tulle with some ribbon. Put all the favors in a basket for your hostess to give guests as they enter, or set them on the table.

for my cousins wedding she had heart shaped bubbles w/ a sticker w/ both of their names on it and the date. I don't know what I will do for favors, I kind of like the mini broom thing, i like too much stuff!
