Okay here's my problem...My maid of honor who got married a year and a half ago is now on the verge of a very ugly divorce. Of course I still want her to be my MOH, but hould I still include her in the wedding plans as much as I did before when her relationship was going good or should I try to do things more on my own. I would just feel bad talking about beginning a marriage as she is ending one. How should this situation be approached?

Excited1, You chose this woman to be your MOH for a reason. I would simply talk to her. Find out if she can handle helping you -- it may be good for her to take her mind off of her own situation. I wouldn't take the decision away from her without discussing it with her first. In any event I wish you all the best.

Right. You shouldn't assume that it will cause her discomfort to help you with your wedding. It may be what she needs to let her see that love and happiness is still alive.
Living my life like it's GOLDEN!!
I agree with the other ladies . I think you should have a conversation with her and see how she feels about it.That's one good way to get over a broken heart keep yourself busy this way she won't be sitting at home thinking about him and your wedding planning may be something to do to keep her occupied.
You should definetely include her as your MOH.Just because she is going through a divorce, it doesn't mean that she wouldn't want to participate.Who knows, she may even meet "the real Mr. Right" at your wedding. :-)
Born Blessed!
Excited1 how are things going?

Plantinum girl you beat me to it....good one, that's the thing, she needs to know that love is still out there and God moves people of our way to make room for "The One"....so talk to her and see what happens and keep an open mind. You never know, she may very excited to be apart of your bridal party.
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
Thanks all I haven't had the chance to talk to her yet, but I'll let you guys know what happens
