What song is everyone using for your first dance? My FH and I are still trying to decide on one. We don't really have a particular song that is special to us or a song that represents our relationship. We like a lot of songs. Just curious to know what everyone else is using.

At Last......I think it is Etta James, not completely sure that is the name of the artist but it is a wonderful romantic song.
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
Thanks Charley. I thought about that song too. It is a very beautiful song. I also thought about Inseperable by Natalie Cole.
Yes Bossie that is a very nice song, I like it very much!

Do you remember the sone Do Me Baby my Melissa Morgan. I am taking Salsa lesson and will be surprising my soon to be husband with a classy but seductive dance!!
Aa' Ishah
In Sha Allah
My FH suggested that we have our first dance to Luther Vandross' "I'd Rather".
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
That song is nice. I can't get any help from my FH. He says whatever choice I make is fine. He knows I will pick a good song. He did suggest " I Love You" by Lenny Williams, but I am not really feeling that. I don't want to knock his suggestion, so I just said okay in hopes that he'll change his mind. I really like "forever" by Jaheim. Has anyone heard it? The words are beautiful. What about a processional song.
"Forever" by Jaheim is really nice -- & yes that brother can blow!!!
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
We originally chose "What a Wonderful world" but since we had to unexpectedly cancel our reception, one of our ceremony recessional songs was "Orange Colored Sky" by Natalie Cole and we just danced back down the aisle to that, it was sooo cute since we were truly dancing to our own beat. Now every couple of days my dear husband pops our ceremony music CD in and we slow dance like jr. high schoolers....ahhh, married life, I LOVE this honeymoon stage!

Yes AaIshah, I am curious to know too when this dance will take place...at the reception??? Your FH is going to say "party is over...you ain't got to go home but you got to get the hell outta here"...honeymoon is going to start early.....you go gurl!!!!

Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
I think the name of the Etta James song you were talking about is called "At Last".
Born Blessed!
We're using Luther & Beyonce's version of 'The Closer I Get to You'. We have a few 'songs'...thought about mixing the main verses or chorus of each of the 3 songs (to eliminate being on the floor for too long) and keepings guests awake & interested.
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.
Delight yourself also in the Lord & He shall give you all the desires of your heart.-Psalm 37:4
Our first dance will be to Luther Vandross' "I'd Rather".
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
Our first dance will be to "We Must Be In Love" by Pure Soul.
"The Love of My Life" by Brian Mcknight.I just love that song!I may use that for the first dance instead of in the wedding ceremony.

I'm sticking with "At Last" by Etta James...the words of that song holds so much meaning...more than I can explain right now.

Platinum, I may use that song also during the ceremony (for bridal party entrance). It's amazing how many songs you start to realize are beautiful when you're planning a wedding.
