I need some suggestions

HI everyone, I need some suggestions. I am far away from all of the people that i want to be my bridesmaids except one. My sisters are in different states and my MOH lives in California. I really really wanted to have these beautiful pants suits that I saw in an indian store. I wanted to have them made by a seamstress. Does any one have suggestions on how my bridesmaids could be fitted? or should I just abandon the idea and get dresses out of a catalogue?

Even if you get the dresses out of a catalogue they will still have to be fitted so you might as well get what you really want. While I will be the last one to agree to have a seamstress make anything for MY wedding, have them get a professional or someone who really knows what they are doing to measure them accurately and send the measurements for you....they will also need to get to you before the wedding to actually fit the pants...the last thing you need is for them to be looking like Tom Jones on your wedding day. It is a sacrifice but the pant is what you want so I say get it but remember it is an altimate sacrfice, so expect the unexpected.

Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.

Karenita1, nothing is impossible! My daughter was in a wedding recently and we live in New York and the bride lives in South Carolina. My cousin (the bride) selected a semstress (one highly recommended from another family member), and we sent our measurements to her. My only suggestion is that you go with a seamstress who is a professional as Charlotte recommends. It is important that she knows what she is doing. Our measurements were off a little, but because the seamstress had skills, we were able to have the adjustments made with no problem. In any event, I wish you all the best!

Charlotte you are funny - Tom Jones huh. Thanks for the encouragement Rhonda. I will take your suggestions of having a professional take their measurements. The seamstress is very good. She has made stuff for me before so I trust her.

Kay Kay...let me tell you something, my seamtress is a PROFESSIONAL......when she gets ready off course [lol]....seriously, this woman sew her own wedding dress and 12 bridemaids dresses plus flower girls dresses and made the men vest and ties...it was absolutely amazing and if anyone did not know she sew for a living, they would have thought those items were store bought....but HONEY......you know sometimes when we cook or bake the very same receipe we have been baking or cooking for years, once or twice, the same receipe is a fit and miss....well sweetgirl like that, for someone who I know is so good at sewing...this woman can really mess up an outfit when she get ready, and I mean murder in the first degree. My plea to you is to please please please be very thorough when choosing someone to sew for your wedding. The though of a messed up outfit really gives me goose bumps..on your special day...Lord have mercy.

Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
