Hail to the Chief!!! Pres. Obama

:EMOTIONAL: I AM SOOO PROUD!

My employer had every conference room, training room and the employee lounge booked to allow employees to view this historic event. I am extremely proud of President Obama and his lovely family. Now we must keep them in prayer.

I am so proud of this day and moment in time. It has been an very emotional day for me.

I had the kids watch with me..all of the schools out here altered there schedules to all the children to watch the swearing in and speech after.

And yes Michelle did work that outfit!I love them all!

That is one FINE first family. They are just right to set the tone for marriages and parents across the country, the world even! Wow.

And they did all look tooo good in those outfits. i cannot wait to see her gown tonite!

This day will indeed go down in history as such a great day. Words cannot express the emotions felt by so many people all over america.

I, for one, can say that I am extremely proud of our President and First Family.

I cried through most of it. It was touching and beautiful. I didn't ;like the poem at all though. I really didn't.

A real momentous event - reminds me of the day Nelson Mandela was inaugurated as our first black president in 1994. Both men have the same aura...

They have been comparing the two a lot. I thought she The First Lady looked so nice in her gown. I just think they are an awesome family. He has quite a task ahead of him.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO proud!!!!!! in my household last night we toasted (with sparkling cider of course) our new President and for God's grace, mercy and protection over the first family!!

p.s. I was also "loving" it when they were walking with the motorcade behind them...our President had the coolest walk of all presidents!!! LOL

It is the best thing...I CANT wait to show my kids that video (we recorded it) when they are old enough to understand. I hope that by that time they wont even understand segregation, slavery and discrimination, I hope I will need to even explain that to them (dreams)

I am so happy! The Obama family is absolutely beautiful. I will be keeping my President in prayer.

And the people say...Amen!

I hope you are right about that. I am shocked at how few couples even bother to get married. What has happened to the men in this country?

VIPrincessBride I hoped for Nikki Giovanni too! I think everyone expected Maya Angelou. I haven't looked to see what the comments were about the poem elsewhere, but I know every former poet and poet wannabe cringed.:)

My man got angry because a high school friend of his died. they are in there mid thirties and there were pics of the deceased young man and his girl all over the obituary. I said he never married her and as a result she cannot even be listed in the obituary or get any death benefit. People just dont realize the benefits of marriage. Here she was with him and they loved each other and she cannot even be recognized as his partner and mate. What a shame.

I was so proud. My job also had a big screen hooked up from 10am-2pm to watch. The Obama girls were absolutely adorable! Especially little Sasha! Loved the color.

I didn't hear the poem but I was glad they didn't select Maya Angelou. She was a HUGE Hilary supporter and talked too much trash about Obam - her, Magic and Bob Johnson! They should have all been banned with Alan Keyes and Clarence Thomas! LOL! I respect the woman but I'm glad she wasn't showcased for this event.
