My name is Theresa, orignally from the Virgin Islands...reside in Baltimore MD

attending school ....criminal justice/forensics...

Proud mama of 2 from a previous marriage.....my son is 11 and will be giving me away since myfather is deceased
and my daughter is 7...she is my bell ringer...

This site is truly the greatest. I haven't been to any other sites where there was no negativity. The only drama here I see comes from members of the various bridal parties. I say we nix the trouble makers and be each others' bridal party. Deborah this getting to know you post was brilliant. We all talk just about everyday, why not know something about the people your telling your business to;)

Leslie and Deborah, you Ladies are absolutely correct.I love this site because this is a stressful time for me but coming to this site and reading your posts makes me feel a lot better.Sometimes I feel like crying from the frustation of trying to plan this wedding or from the unnecessary drama.But, you Ladies have no idea how much this site helps me out.Stay blessed!

This site is the best. My son was in the hospital with pneumonia this past week so I was off the board and I really missed coming. He is better (thank God) and my first day back to work and the only thing I've done so far is read and respond to posts...nah that's so bad. :-(

Ana---girl you do not know how much I need some "me" time, girlfriend the dandruff are trying to show themselves strong and the tips have now moved away from the cuticles...so you know I need to get (not get--break off running) to a beauty salon fast, quick and in a hurry before they call the fashion police for me. Hey but not until my baby is out then I will exhale :-) Thank you and yes please keep us in your prayers.

I will definetely include your daughter in my prayers. It's great that you refer to her as a pillar of strength. That shows that you as her mother are doing a fantastic job of raising the both of them!Children learn by example, therefore, she learned to be strong by watching you!

Thanks Ladies....the doctors says he is doing very well and WE may go home tomorrow. The devil mess with the wrong one...we waged war on him and declared an anointing and healing on my son and covered him in precious blood of Jesus from he crown of his head to the souls of his feet, speaking life and health on him. Touch not the Lord's anointed! Oh and you'll know why I said "WE" may go home tomorrow right....yup, I moved in the hospital also :-)

Hi ladies I'm a new one to the site but I thought I would join in on the fun.To start let me say Happy belated Birthday to everyone. My name is L'Kiesha and I'm 22 years old I will be marrying my sweetheart and the love of my life since age 15 on March 24,2007. I'm getting an early start on planning cuz I know its gonna be stressful. I currently have 2 Angels God is babysitting in Heaven (one since April 05 and te othe October 05).I live in Sunny California with my future hubby.I love to read, write poetry and I recently got into craft such as sewing and scrapbooking, ect. I'm looking forward to start my own day care business after I get married and for practice I watch my 4 soon to be nephews daily (ages 4,5,6,11).They are a hand full but I just cant resist them.One really good and bad thing about me is I still look the same way I did in high school plus 10 pounds from my angels.Im still short and got a pimple free face (those will probably come on my wedding day!)and I get carded alot!

Hi Alvin and welcome. I have a question cause I am not use to the American terminologies...what is "I get carded"...please excuse me but my sister had to tell me that whiting is a fish the other day so don't think I am crazy,, just from a different culture that all :-)

You Ladies are a mess!Lol."Get carded" means that when she goes to the club or go to the store to buy alcohol or cigarettes, she is being asked for ID.I'm 33 and I still get carded sometimes because the store clerk say that I don't look old enough to buy alcohol.

Thanks PlatinumStyle. If you're 33 and still getting Carded then I think that says a lot about your youthful appearance, which is a blessing!!!!!!

Girl that is a blessing to get "carded"...I am using that word for now on by the way :-). Speaking of looking young--last week in the hospital, two physiotherapists asked me how old I was cuase I don't look old enough to have 2 children......guess who is still cheesing :-)

"Getting carded" is getting asked for your I.D. when you try to do adult things like buy alcohol or get into the clubs.Sorry if I confused everyone I guess since I'm like the youngest one here I speak differently that everyone else (I still talk like a high schooler too I guess...lol).People always tell me I look 15 and I hate it.I have family thats younger than me who will get into a club before I will!THATS NOT FAIR!

Hi Ladies. I'm new to this site, actually this is my very first post. I happened to stumble across the board while doing a search for DIY projects. My name is Rashanda (purebliss you're the first lady i've seen with my name) and I turned 25 in December. Technically I'm a newlywed, DH and I had a civil ceremony b4 the new year but we're planning the celebration for next year sometime, haven't set a date yet b/c as of now we're paying for everything on our own (hence my search for diy projects). All of his family is overseas in Europe and Africa so saving money for that is going to take time and we didn't want to wait(and live in sin as my grandmother would say). I'm from Northern NJ and have a 13 yr old furbaby named jo-jo, other than my cat we're childless. I'm in bwtn jobs at the moment, but hopefully not for long.

Yes we are back home and I am in my OWN bed (Awww!) what a feeling...you ladies have no idea what it feels like to be sleeping in a single bed with my daughter (the child is just as big as me size 18 and size 20 hmmmmm)...OH MY lORD!, I love her, but only so much I could take (lol). My son is back to school today, no PE for 2 weeks and no running up and down, he does not like that but he will be just ok. :-) MrV....WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME....your ganna love this place, watch out for these brillant ladies, I am sure you will fit right it :-)

Ana you are so correct, my children and I really deserve a break, we were just talking about going to Walt Disney this year...I am so seriously thinking about doing that....lol, ya right about the hospital, even though I did not have to cook and clean, the torture I got from my daughter in that small bed is more than enough...lol. Charly it is necessary to take a break, especially if you feel a need to. DisneyWorld sounds like the place to be....

I am really seriously thinking about it cause we have never had a family trip before and they deserve one. I am sure they will it there, they see it the commerical and want to go on those crazy rides but I say "not a thing like it" we can go to see Miney and Mickey and have fun...so I am looking into it and trying to load up the credit card.

Gurl you betta be careful, someone over there may want to "hire" you because you and everyone around you will be having the time of their lives!

My children are just like me...totally crazy so we always have a lot of fun together...My son has taken into calling me by my first name and he knows it is a no no so he looks at me and when he thinks I am coming for him he breaks of running screaming like a girl and me and my daughter tease him and tell him he screams like a little girl...it is so funny, we have a blast all the time :-)

You guys sound like a really close knit family. That is truly a blessing, especially if you can have fun along the way!

Listen girl...the state the man left me and our childrne in....only God could have brought me out of it. Hey did I tellya'll when my son was in the hospital his daddy was worried and I told him to continue to pray....guess what that man said to me...he suck his teeth and said "Prya don't work!" wow!...now I see why GOD MOVED ME OUT OF THIS SITUATION.. Hallelujah!
