I am new to the board and am stuck on choosing music. I am marrying my fh on 10/6/06. I love In You (I found love) by Glenn Jones - it just makes me thing of my fh everytime I hear it - however, I thought about coming into just a piano version - my soloist has an incredible voice and I don't want to take away from him or me during my entrance, so I thought having him sing the actual song after our Unity Candle lighting? And also, all my music for entering will be instrumental - not enough? Our soloist will sing the lords prayer after the pastor does his ministerial charge and prayer. Any thoughts for the recessional song???????
I am so glad I found this site..I need help!!!!!! I don\\\\\\'t have a flower girl and don\\\\\\'t know how to get a flower covered runner.
Happiness is only a prayer away!
Welcome to the site sunny & onyx.
Sunny, do a search on forums for songs. We have a lot of different topics that discuss songs.
Onyx, are you talking about any of these types of runners? I'm not sure how much you are willing to spend. I also came across some much more expensive ones. Let me know your price range.

Septbride and Mo, thanks for the suggestions. In speaking with my FH the church\\\\\\'s center aisle is not the standard runner size, it\\\\\\'s much smaller. Can flower petals be given to people in the aisle seats and they sprinkle before I come down? What do you ladies think?
Happiness is only a prayer away!
Onyx, I loooooooooooove that idea. I say go for it!!! They have smaller aisle runners as well. There's even carpet runners.
Septbride, Thanks so much for that feedback, I have gotten mixed reviews from family and friends when I tell them of that idea.

Hey there OnyxSwan. I agree with Askalot (SeptBride's nick name). I say go for it as well. Remember it is your wedding, do what makes you happy.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback...sometimes I get so overwhelmed that I forget that is\\\\\\'s MY DAY. You ladies are great for reminding me.

Onyx when you do things that make you happy, you will feel soooooo good about it! :-)
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
I personally have NEVER heard of this being done before. It is definately different and I think it will be beautiful! How do you feel about it? How does FH feel about it? Because that's ALL that really matters! This is your day and if you want it, do it up girl! :-) Everyone will have something to say about something. You can only please yourself. You can put some rose petals in little baggies (pretty ones of course) and have your ushers pass them out just before the ceremony starts. They can explain to your guests then what to do.
Well said Askalot!
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
I thought about having the ushers hand out the pretty petal filled bags after the majority of guest are seated so the ones on the aisle would get the bags or just leave bags on every aisle seat and by word of mouth have them toss the petals. My FH has no opinion on this issue, surprisingly because he has an opinion about everything else.
Happiness is only a prayer away!
Personally, I like the usher handing out the bags idea the best. I'm sure things will work out beautifully, no matter how you decide to go.
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
Hi,
I sm new to the board. I am getting married soon and wanted to know good songs for the recessional. My musician plays the organ and I can't think of any good songs that will sound good during this part.
