Who rides in the limos?

I know this may sound like a silly question but right now I don't know if I'm coming or going. This is how I have it planned: limo will pick up guys and drop them off, then limo will pick up girls, and a different limo will have myself, MOH, and my parents. My question is, once we leave the ceremony to take pictures, who rides in what limo? Do my parents and FH mother ride in a limo?

Re: Who rides in the limos?

SeptBride, there is no such thing as a silly question. You can do the limo thing any which way you want. My FH and I contemplated that very question and decided on this: All of the guys drive and have companions so they'll get to the site and leave the site with their cars. A limo will pick me, moh and mother up from the house to the "reception hotel" where pops will be, groom etc. Pops, the bridesmaids and flower girls will get in then we'll proceed to the church. Another limo will arrive at the site about 1/2 hour before the ceremony "to look good" since we have to have it for 3 hours then after the ceremony the girls will get in that limo and "hubby and I" will ride in the limo I arrived in. As for moms and pops they'll ride back with my nephew who's one of the groomsmen. FH moms and pops live a few blocks from the church so they'll get there but if they didn't live close they'd still drive there on their own. I hope this helps.

When it comes to your wedding, you can do whatever you wnat and whaterver works for you. This is how it will work for me. Stretch limo will pick up all the guys including FH and drop them off at the church. Then limo will pick up all the girls from the hotel and take them to the church. The second limo will pick up me and my father. (mother not involved). Once we leave the church the entire bridal party will get in the limo together (it's a 16 pass) and me and FH will go in the second limo. My father will ride to the reception with someone else.

Thanks SeptBride for asking that question. I agree with Marshine that there is no such thing as a silly question. Thanks Marshine & Nlbostic for sharing also. I'm not sure how my FH and I will arrange or limo details. He and I will be living in New Jersey and the rest of the bridal party, parent and others live in New York where our ceremony and reception will be held. I guess I need to give it some thought.

Re: Who rides in the limos?

I guess the answer to that question is it really depends on how many limos you will actually have at your wedding. I will not take a chance and have the same limo drop the guys to come back for the girls....things always go wrong, traffic, someone get lost etc etc etc....to be on the safe side have 2 different just for that purpose. After the ceremony, you and your husband should be in one alone..you know cause a lot of excited kissing will be going on [lol] and then if push comes to shove and your limos are limited then let everyone go in the other.

Thank you all for your help. But, I'm still stuck on do the parents also go to the picture site to take pictures after ceremony? If so, do they ride in a limo or drive themselves?

Re: Who rides in the limos?

THERE IS ONLY ONE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION OF WHO RIDES IN THE LIMO AFTER THE WEDDING. You and your new hubby. no one else. The bridal party rides in their cars, with their boyfriends, hubbys, cousins, etc. Parents do not go to the site. they get thier pics taken at the reception. But they can come along if you like.

Re: Who rides in the limos?

I beg to differ Rosey....with all due respect off course. I agree the bride and groom are alone in their limo after ceremony....normally over here, the groomsmen pays for the limo for him and his escort and then there is family limo....the parents of both couple to accompany the couple to take family photos. After the couple and then the party then couple with parents, then groom with new inlaws etc etc etc....I think it is a wonderful gesture to have both families present to share in pictures, it will create wonderful memories.
