What are some of your themes?

This is a very good topic Rony...but unfortunately this is not somehting that I have focused on...all I know is that it is in October which is Fall, I love elegance, this is my second and I am using earth tones...so I really have not brain stormed as yet...but I'm open for suggestions.

It is a very nice time, and I really have not started to stress but I know somwthing will come, I'm am in the right place.

Hey Ronny, I believe I was the sistah that gave you that theme. I was actually looking for a theme myself and came up with one for you. I still don't have one. I think you or Charly suggested "breakfast at Tiffany's". I haven't seen the movie yet.

Theme...hmmmmmmm. Well, I didn't really think of it - but I think it would be roses. Being that that is my favorite flower (I'm not a big flower fan) - my flower girl will be throwing orange rose petals, the design on my invitation is a rose and my bridemaids will carry a single orange rose. So, I guess that's my theme, right? lol

ASKALOT...I love roses and especially odd color one...I am not sure if I have seen an orange rose before but I am sure it will be gorgeous...what time of the year is your wedding and what time of day is it?

Orange roses are so pretty. They have a spicy smell too. My hubby gave me a dozen when I started a new job at the bank and I was HATING corporate life. Only good thing besides 4 weeks paid vacation was that I would leave in a year. Grrrr.

I am sure I saw them...if they have a different colored tip more like reddy or a burgundy then I have seen them...I must smell them cause Rosey gave such a vivid description of them...they can be a beautiful fall wedding flower I'm sure

Rony as obvious as that is I relly never noticed that. You are so right when you saw organe compliments women of color....wow! I really love this color and I never realized until now, oh and talk about the different veriations of orange....hmmmm! do you guys see where I am going with this? A fall wedding with different shades of orange.....yes!

Girl Rony the credit is on you.....I have an orange scissors on my desk her at work looking right in my face and not only that my cell phone has orange variations all over it....nah how should get kick here! Could it have been any more obvious?

I was thinking of something to do with the stems though. I don't want them to be so plain.

Askalot girl when I opened that picture...it brought an instant warmth to my heart and a huge smile on my face....women really love flowers ah!.....there's just no running away from it. I have definitely not seen this color before...I right click this bad boy and now it is on my desktop :-). Now back to business...you have not idea what to do with the stems hmmm.....what is the color that will be contrasting with the orange?..get some ribbons of that colors and wrap the stem leaving enough ribbon to tie a bow and hang. Girl I'm with you on this one...simple is soooo elegant, less is more--is that enough cliches to get the picture? :-)

I don't have a theme yet.I love those flower pics.I'm using white and gold silk flowers along with gold and white silk petals.I just wanted something different.

Oh yeah....we have some really talented florist over here..but the price..oh the price! Let me give you an idea on them. the first one before A - $65, A - $120.00, B - $25, C - $20, D - $75, E - $35, F - $25, G - $30. They may possibly be more especially when they hear the word "wedding"...they could get a bit ridiculous, oh and add in the color....it could really be more casue they may say it's hard to get.

I go through themes so much I change my mind every week but.............
I've recently been thinking about an Asian themed wedding. I really love their style in dresses and always wanted one for myself but I may pick some out for my bridesmaids to wear and get myself one on the side..lol.I could cover the walls of the yard with red paper to look like screens and paint symbols on it and then put lights behind it so at night (reception) when the lights are on it has a totally different look than the day time(wedding). Then I could decorate the tables with laterns.As favors I can give my guest fans and fortune cookies. My bridesmaids can walk down the aisle with big decorated fams instead of flowers.What do you ladies think?You think I can pull it off? My only problems will be buying material to make table runers or cloths and an aisle runner,because it can get expensive. And also trying to incorporate some american style like hearts and roses into the theme so I dont go overboard with the Asian stuff.ALSO in asian cultures white is considered a color of death so what should I do about my dress....a all red dress is out of the question it must be white!

WOW girl...people always tell me I think too much, but I can see your the master at that...you thought of all things unusual things you want...I am sure if you take your time and start early you can bring them into fruition...a little adjustments here and there woud be great like that "white" belief. I am sure there are some Asian inspired dress...Niquey can help you find something like that I'm sure.

I've been looking on orientaltrading.com and other sites and found some really cool stuff I can use. I've even thought about going to buy fabric and a sewing machine to make table runners......Charly yes I do think alot! I have a habit of thinking of every little detail before I do something.In the long run it works out for me but it can get stressful at times.I've planned like three diffrent themes s far to see which one will be better to do.my FH gets annoyed that I change my mind so much about our wedding details, but I cant help it.When I get the right one where I can find everything I need I will stick with it.I promise (fingers crosses)...lol

Hey sistahs! I know I'm so late with responding, but forgive me. lol I tried to wrap the stems with ivory ribbon - accessorized with pearls, but it didn't come out looking right. Do you know of anywhere where you can buy "sleeves" for flowers. I'm actually about to start a post about my plans so far - I hope you ladies think the idea is nice. And please tell me if I go overboard.

All of the bridesmaids & the jr bridesmaids will receive a single orange rose from the groomsmen. Each groomsmen & the ju groomsman will have an orange rose as a boutonniere. The flower girl will be throwing orange rose petals. My maid of honor will have a mostly orange rose bouquet with some ivory roses. My bouquet will be mostly ivory roses with hints of orange roses and my FH will have an ivory boutonniere with a hint of orange somewhere (maybe he'll have 2 roses - one ivory and one orange).

Hey Copper. I think all the brides here are having a fabulous time planning. I can't wait to view pictures of how everything turned out for all of the brides on here.

I agree and helping the other brides kinda takes your mind off of your own pressure.
