I'll put some more up..Im waiting on my cousins gathering the rest of the disposable cameras....as I await the proofs from the photographer.

It feels good knowing that it was all worth it....we are very excited to be finally "free"....lol and we are enjoying every minute of the married life. I am not online as often, as I have started the job on Tuesday.

Island honey you are here...this is wonderful. CONGRATULATIONS, i am so happy for you and so happy that you came on the board. I behaved whilst you were away...well maybe cuase I was out with the flu (lol)...but good to have you here. Congrats with new job.

Vetty...I am more glad to see YOU here...this is a wonderful treat to come back to. I am feeling a little better...you know as mothers we tend to neglect ourselves to ensure our children are ok and that is what happened to me, I was so caught up in making sure my son got better that I did not check for me and I got really sick. The doctor only gave me 3 days off so I am back to work but I do not think I will be here all day, still not feeling 100% but I will give it my best.

Charly do you know how to behave? You told IslandB that you behaved while she was away. Gurl you know good and well the flu didn't stop you from cuttin' up (lol). I don't know..........

Hello - Excuse Me people - but what in the world is "bullfoot soup?" and you'll need to suggest another TV program cause I do not like to watch Oprah or Lifetime....

[grin] No bullfoot soup in the Bahamas?? Girl, yuou missin' out! lol. And it is exactly what it sounds like. Bullfoot soup is known in the Caribbean as the carnival or jouve soup. A very flavorful and fragrant soup soup made of provisions (every member of the root veggies: tanya, yams, dashin, sweet potatoes and irish potatoes) and cow heel. YUM!

You don't have to watch Oprah, it just needs to be something you don't have to concentrate on so that even your mind rests. So get some REST already! lol

OK...if this soup is actually " bull foot" I am going to out...yuck! oh I like to watch the food network and wrestling :-)

Hey there Island...nice to see you, I've been bahaving Rosey been on the site alot so I really had no other choice [lol]. OK ladies, this is gonna be a hard pill to swallow but I have never heard of this soup....I thought maybe it is something we make here with a different name but with all those ingredients and cow foot...I don't think so, that part of the cow is rejected over here....or so I think. nah I know of oxtail but that is not made into a soup...and Rosey none of those names rang a bell....and I am totally Island born and bread here...all 36 years.

What???You don't like Lifetime?Girl, you don't know what you're missing!I'm not a big fan of Oprah.I wish she did more shows for the Black community.

I do not like lifetime because I watched a show on there one time that reminded me of my first married---it was very abusive and it just to close to home for me--to many memories and it reiterated the fact that there are so many marriages like that especially where the wife is to embarrass to say anything (just like I was for 3 years)so you see why I just can not handle watching that station. And your right about Oprah!

Lifetime can be a bit too real, fo' sho. I am sorry to hear about your hubby. As long as you know there was nothing you did to cause it and nothing you could have done to stop it. Not many of us believe that.

Oprah's audience is more than 78% white. SHe also has more black stars than anyone else. I think she is doing her best. AND she is treating us like women not BLACK women. I think that is pretty cool.

It was a long journey for me to travel...from the guilt of "maybe I did somehting wrong" or "he may be right that he was the best thing that happened to me"..man the mental abusive that is associated with physical abuse is overwhelming. I thnk God that I was able to defeat that demon. God is faithful. Big ups to Oprah for treating women like women regardless of color. I really do not watch talk shows...yeah yeah I know, WHAT DO YOU WATCH WOMAN!?[LOL]...I like the cooking show and girlfriends :-), some wrestling every now and then, but nothing to make me cry and that is what Lifetime and talk shows do.
